Alexander Ayotte Burr Chambliss Coburn Collins Corker Flake Graham Hoeven Isakson Kirk McCain Toomey Wicker
68 yeahs. moves forward.
Needed 60 to move forward, so done with the help of 15 RINOS
Thanks for the list
What next? Gun oil control? Firing pin confiscation? Mandated storage of all firearms at federal armories with check-out requested a month in advance?
Talk about a knife in the back. Oh wait, the UN has them on their list too.
No longer registered Republican. Am registered as No Party Affiliation in Florida.
I am a conservative Christian and will not vote for someone who is opposite my views
The GOP seems to be a run away train wreck with more GOP saying we need to get on board with illegal immigration, and gay marriage, not to mention the proclivity to E-GOP to support continuing spending rather than making cuts necessary to begin to do something to curb the ever expanding national debt.
Chambliss and Isakson are 2 of the worst puking POS RINO’s ever elected. Fortunately Chambliss figured out he is getting primaried next year so is thankfully retiring. Now Johnny boy will find out what its like to get primaried in 2016.
Attention SINator JohNnny Isackson: You will face a primary challenge in 2014. You have betrayed your oath of office and the people of Georgia. You will be held accountable.
That Tom Coburn is a bit sneaky,
a favorite on gun control show Morning Joe + Joe and Mika he announces he WILL vote for cloture (making Mika smile) then a day later calls the Toomey-watered- own background check bill ‘un-workable’,
Well Tom, maybe your vote will be key in getting an ‘unworkable’ bill to Obama’s desk.
Unless there is another Wicker out there he’s our’s. Where is Thad Cockroach. Mississippi ping
Primary the RINOs.
Onto to the House. It’s dead in the Senate.
You still think the whole thing will fall apart? (a really idea ending)
I am not capable of such optimism.
Fortunately I didn’t vote for Wicker last time. Too slimy.
Hubby and I are going to change our voter registration tomorrow.
the progcomms are going for broke baby, and nothin will be off the table in pushin this thru...
Kelly Ayotte has turned into a first-class RINO joke.
Remember these names;
it’s no surprise the a whackjob like McCain would vote for it, or a damnyankee like Toomey, but Corker? Coburn?
We can make these guys feel the pain. Unfortunately, we dont get a chance to unseat that bastard Coburn for 5 more years.
Corker, however, is up for re-election next year, and we NEED to see that he gets the NRA boot!
UP FOR RE-ELECTION IN 2014
Lamar Alexander (Tennessee)
Saxby Chambliss (Georgia)*
Thad Cochran (Mississippi)
Susan Collins (Maine)
John Cornyn (Texas)
Michael Enzi (Wyoming)
Lindsey Graham (South Carolina)
James Inhofe (Oklahoma)
Mike Johanns (Nebraska)*
Mitch McConnell (Kentucky)
James Risch (Idaho)
Pat Roberts (Kansas)
Jeff Sessions (Alabama)
I sincerely hope those (some on the list) seeking to be re-elected lose their jobs.
Yes. Once the poison pills are offered, it will either die in the Senate or in the House.
Anytime the Democrats need votes, thay know that they can always rely on the Republicans. The reason no Republican voted for obamacare was that the Democrats had enough votes to pass it. Once again we have been betrayed.
Like obamacare did?
I believe the House will hold.
At least the Republican enemies of the Constitution all held hands together when jumping off the cliff. I fully expected them to draw lots (or choose the ones retiring or in the 2018 Senate class) to vote for cloture with 60 votes exactly to save the rest.
I can’t wit for the next time my caller ID says “RNC”
“Now Johnny boy will find out what its like to get primaried in 2016.”
One can only hope! We need remove from office every anti-constitution congress person that is up for election in 2014.
Why won't you help nominate people who agree with your views? I really don't understand why you wouldn't add to the power of your right to vote by participating in primary elections.
If Republicans are of the belief that there must be an up-or-down vote on bills that violate the most unambiguous part of the Bill of Rights, then what is the purpose of serving in the Senate?
I was busy and unable to watch on C-Span. What happened to the “filibuster”? I don’t mean, that cloture was voted overwhelmingly. I found that out. I mean, why were Mike Lee and others unable to take and hold the floor? Wasn’t that their plan? Did they try to do that? What happened? Please, if you know...
‘Once the President signs his bill then every-child can go to sleep feeling safer, gilb,
Oh, I forgot that except now we need those other guns and mags banned before the next massacre.. now is time ....the time is now... we never said that other bill would save kids...who said that?? .. we need this other stuff..to..save a child...do it for Gabby and DiFi’
Chamblis is retiring. He had to win a runoff in 2008 and knows he needs to move out of state once this term is up.
You expect that the Senate will stop this now? There is a nano-sized possibility we could get poison amendments that will doom the Senate gun-grab legislation but I doubt it.
Wicker is a cousin of Fred Thompson.
Remember though the people on the RNC line are probably not even Republicans and have no knowledge of Republican politicians and issues at all. They are merely low-paid employees.
I think Coburn term-limited himself to two terms in the Senate. It will be good when he is gone; I one thought he was the best senator since Helms, but no more. OK people though probably don’t know how he has turned left.
Cloture was invoked before the filibuster could begin. People from AZ to MS to NC must be elated with their senators.
Okies get a chance to replace Coburn with a Ted Cruz clone.
I am suspicious of anyone regularly praised on the Morning Joe.
If this bill dies as PD predicts then I will see differently.
Toomey = Judas
Corker was reelected in 2012 with virtually no opposition.
We just have to make sure the rest retire with our assistance.
Less than two dozen GOPers need to flip to get it to pass.
I’ve called both of those idiots offices the last couple of days. I asked if they thought the voters of Georgia wanted their Constitution rights infringed any more. The staffers said that Johnny and Saxby were “studying” the situation. Looks like we will just have to melt their phones again. It would be nice to have a REAL conservitive from Georgia (are you paying attention Mr Gingrey?)
Yes, and isn't it a sad situation that neither Mississippi Senator has even a sliver of Conservatism in him.
I wonder if there is a Conservative considering running against either of them?
Citizens of the United States are longing for a strong leader to stand in opposition to the current regime and its enablers. I expect a strong leader will appear one day. I wonder if that will be a good or bad thing for us.
