Biden: Gun Owners ‘Like The Way It Feels…Like Driving a Ferrari’
ABC News ^ | April 11, 2013 | Mary Bruce, Arlette Saenz

Vice President Joe Biden this morning said that the “cultural norm” about gun ownership has changed, arguing that many people buy guns, not for protection or hunting, but because “it’s like driving a Ferrari.”

“It used to be we were dealing almost exclusively with hunters,” Biden said on MSNBC. “There’s a whole new sort of group of individuals now who, I don’t know what the numbers are, that never hunt at all but they own guns for one of two reasons...

If these idiots had their way, the “little people” would not be allowed to joyride in a Ferrari. Or drive any car for that matter.

We would all be waiting for overcrowded “green” buses in the streets while the "important people" zoom by and splash mud on us with their armored diesel powered “beasts”.

That there is slow Joe and O’s dream...

Hey,Plugs....I don't hunt.Never have,never will.And I've never driven a Ferrari...and I never will.If I was worth a billion dollars I'd drive a Honda,Toyota or Chevy.

FYI,Plugs, the Second Amendment isn't even *remotely* about hunting...or Ferraris. It's about protection.Primarily about protection from rogue politicians.*That* is what the Founding Fathers had in mind when it was included in the Bill of Rights, second in importance only to the freedom of speech and religion.Secondly,it's about protection from criminals. The Founding Fathers may,or may not, have had that in mind when crafting the Bill of Rights. If fidelity to the Second Amendment benefits hunters then,IMO,that nothing more than icing on the cake.

THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS ABOUT COMMON CITIZENS PROTECTING THEMSELVES FROM SCUM LIKE YOU,PLUGS!

And BTW,Plugs....just how many armed men and women are guarding you 24/7/366?

He may look ridiculous but his job is to ridicule your gun onwership in the minds of the impressionable sheeple. We own firearms for frivolous reasons dont you see. Joe is using alinsky tactics.

They seem to have a particular fear of “America’s Rifle - 15”

This morning the MSNBC crowd couldn't stop using the evil word "BUSHMASTER".

They just like to be precise.

Same thing as the MSM was all atwitter on Tuesday when the moron in Texas was running around stabbing everyone with a Chicago Cutlery knife

Biden ain't no idiot. Him crazy like fox.

Do not forget for an instant that this is the man who discovered Barack Hussein Obama Jr. (or II) the gay disbarred Illinois crackhead community organizer and absent State Rep, and somehow turned the constitutionally ineligible Presidential candidate into your POTUS.

He is a most skillful campaigner and a die-hard partisan. In fact, I think he is willing to run as President next time, with Michelle as VP, and then die on cue, leaving her as President. This SOB, who looks like a chicken and says outlandish stuff is belovèd of his party and would give up his life for it.

And that's no shiite.

“I use to think these people could not possibly believe the crap that spews from their mouths. I’ve changed my mind. These idiots believe every word they say.”

And in other news today, his Persian Cousin, Ima Nutjob, it telling the world that ED is a Jewish plot to sell the world Viagra just to make a buck! As Obama has reportedly said “ they have to stop the ice cream truck when it goes by the White Hut if Joe hears the music.”

Like driving a Ferrari?

Don’t they go like 160mph or whatever?

That exceeds our speed limits and children might be hurt. No one needs to go that fast.

Should Ferrari’s be banned?

“It used to be we were dealing almost exclusively with hunters,”

They were dealing almost exclusively with hunters because they wanted to exclude from the talks anyone who truly understood the intent of the 2nd Amendment, and it had nothing to with hunting.

They’re beginning to lose the “hunting and self-protection” meme from their framing of the debate and it worries them.

Government should be worried...about its true bosses.

Probably not committed to the local loony bin, but I can see Joe working Midnight to 8 AM at a 24 hour 7-11.
Talking to himsel@ , when at about 3 AM, some kid comes in wearing an army jacket, and pulls an illegal gun on him, demanding what’s in the register.
Hey, it happened to me, when I had a weekend job when I was about 20.

Its imperative for them to drive the narrative that our firearms are not needed in the progressive utopia and the low information voter is the target market. all well planned even if it sound ludicrous to us.

They have also decreed that freedom of religion is not needed in their utopia, as Hobby Lobby and many Catholic charities have learned as our ruling class has clarified what the Catholic position on abortion has been ordered to become. Now the Fourth Amendment has joined the list of obsolete rights under our Living Constitution, as our Dear Leader and the IRS have claimed a right to read email without a warrant. The far left disgusts me.

He’s ‘wrong,’ by design. This is all intentional - part of the long-term programming of the citizenry to believe that the Second Amendment was created to ensure our right to shoot squirrels and mallards. In 50 years, once most private land has been consumed by development and the feds have declared all public lands off-limit to firearms, hunting will itself be outlawed. That, in turn, will give ‘them’ the excuse they need to ban the last type of gun we’re allowed to own - the shotgun that Uncle Joe so enthusiastically endorses (and which endorsement is also part of the programming).

I wish someone would ask him if he’d volunteer to go alone to some Tennessee mountain man’s house and tell him he’s there to take his guns.

In an ironic, twisted way, Joe Plugs might have a point.

As a huge James Bond fan in the Sixties, I couldn’t afford an Aston-Martin, but I was able to afford a 7.65mm Walther PPK, same as in the Connery films. Still have it.

But if you enjoy owning guns just for the pleasure of collecting them, what’s so bitterclinger about that?

Here’s a translation of a 17th Century German woodcut entitled “The Gun Nut”:

I’m an upright citizen,
Can’t stand the smell of powder, even.
Yet I own all kinds of weapons,
Bringing me but few laudations.
Because I know not how to use them,
Just see that rust does not suffuse them.
