A proposal to grant Colorado driver’s licenses to people in the country illegally got initial approval in a Senate committee Wednesday, marking a shift in a state that seven years ago passed strict enforcement laws.

The bill passed the Senate Judiciary Committee on a 3-2 party-line vote, with Democrats in favor. The proposal still needs to be approved by the full Senate.

Democratic Sen. Jessie Ulibarri, the sponsor of the bill, argues that immigrants living in the country are already on Colorado roads, and that it would benefit everyone if they were licensed, carried insurance, and knew the rules of the road.

Mesa County Republican Sen. Steve King, a former police officer, said before the hearing that he believed the legislation could improve public safety and that he was leaning toward voting yes. However, he said he was still deeply conflicted about it. …

You jumped the line, lied, used fake information to build your identity and probably ruined someone’s credit, Juan. Do you know what we do to people like you in this country!

No.

Here’s your driver’s license. Enjoy yourself.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

But, lawful gun owners need to be registered and tracked. Why be a citizen?

Apparently many agree with you because both sides are preparing for it.

I moved to Colorado 20 years ago and loved the fact that it was a conservative state. Now I don’t want to live here any more.

It’s amazing how rapidly the leftward shift in that state has occurred. It’s no better than Illinois anymore.... just another piece of liberal conquered territory.

I'd recommend escaping while you can.

You know to hell with it....

I am going to apply for another drivers license as an illegal immigrant....

Why Not?

What law would be broken, because by definition, If an illegal can get a drivers license.... then why not an alter ego of mine...

Maybe Grace Garcia... but I am of slavik descent, so maybe I will pretend i am an illegal immigrant from “mother russia”......

Of course they would probably deport me...

I can’t even get a renewal without proper documentation ... SS card, etc. What the hell are they thinking?! Since when do illegals have more rights than citizens?!

Get a fake illegal ID, then apply for food stamps, use the extra food stamp funds for buying prepping food....

Of course they might notice you are buying ACTUAL FOOD.... and that may set off some flags and you would get arrested,,,,,

So make sure to buy junk food and lobster with your newly aquired EBT cards....

The proposal still needs to be approved by the full Senate.

There's nothing representatives of the Democratic [sic] party in the Colorado legislature won't do. Give the vermin another week or so, and they'll probably declare Spanish the state language, ban some more guns, reduce magazine capacity to three rounds, set up special privileges for selected ethnic and political groups, and...

I'd better quit before I give the parasites ideas.

Since when do illegals have more rights than citizens?!

Since some self-appointed genius noticed they virtually always vote for representatives of the Democratic [sic] party.

What you reward, you get more of.

To: ScottinVA; All

Break the law, get a drivers lic.

APPLY FOR WELFARE WITH FORGED DOCS, GET AMNESTY.

Buy a gun, go to jail.....

We are making criminals out of the law-abiding, and de-criminalizing outright criminals.

America won’t survive this way.

If they pass this crap, maybe we should all dress up as "Spock" and say we are "Spock of Vulcan" and are here illegally... You see, we beamed down here without the permission of the United States government. And would like a drivers license!

Technically you would be an "Illegal" "Alien"....

Would they blink?
