Unhappy Mr. Z Raps About Cuba Controversy: "Obama Said Chill, Gonna Get Me Impeached"

And we, ladies and gentlemen, because we're on the cutting edge here for low-information voters and citizens, have a couple of sound bites -- excerpts, if you will -- of Mr. Z's latest rap offering. In one of these bites, Mr. Z refers to the president, saying that Obama told him to chill. (doing Obama impression) "You gonna get me impeached, dude." And Mr. Z is not happy that the president told him to chill. And Mr. Z makes the comment that he never had any use for politicians, they never did anything for him. I'd not heard this, ladies and gentlemen, and I probably won't be able to hear it much as you do, but I have here the lyrics and the transcript so we will experience this vocal interpretation together.

(playing of song)

I done turned Havana to Atlanta, Guayabera shirts and bandanas, Boy from the hood but got White House clearance, Sorry y'all, I don't agree with y'all appearance, Politicians never did sh!t (bleeped) for me, Except lie to me, distort history, Wanna give me jail time and a fine, Fine, let me commit a real crime, I might buy a kilo for Chief Keef, Out of spite, I just might flood these streets, Hear the freedom in my speech, Obama said chill, you gonna get me impeached, But you don't need this sh!t (bleeped) anyway Chill with me on the beach.

You caught all that, right? So Mr. Z is not happy. It sounds like it's a little retaliation. Mr. Z is not happy with the reaction of his trip to Cuba. He said he's just a boy from the hood, got his White House clearance, sorry, y'all, I don't agree with y'all appearance, politician never did excrement for me, except lie to me, distort history, you want to give me jail time and a fine, fine, let me commit a real crime, I might buy a kilo for Chief Keef.

Chief Keef is another well known rapper, correct? You don't know? I know more about this than you do? I think Chief Keef is a rapper. He's some official in this world. And in the next sound bite, in the latest rap tune here from Mr. Z, he talks about communism.

(playing of song)

Ya'll almost want to start a revolution. You know whenever I'm threatened, I start shooting, bark. Catch a body, head to Houston I'm in Cuba, I love Cubans This communist talk is so confusing When it's from China, the very mic that I'm using, Idiot wind, the Bob Dylan of rap music You're an idiot baby, you should become a student, Oh, you gonna learn today, Where the f*ck (bleeped) have you been, The world's under new management.

So he said whenever he's threatened he starts shooting, which dovetails very nicely to gun control news that we've got.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I was right. Chief Keef is a big Chicago rapper. I knew that. You're telling me things I already knew, and you didn't know that. So here's Mr. Z going out there. He's gonna buy this guy a kilo of whatever. By the way, could we interpret the lyrics here of Mr. Z's latest rap offering? Is he dissing Obama?

I didn't want to make that leap, but it does sound like he's sort of dissing Obama. He's telling Mr. Z to chill. (summarized) "You're going to get me impeached, giving me brief about going to Cuba. Hell, I had permission from you to go! Calling what I did a crime." Comparing Obama to communism, is that what he was doing? He says when communists start going after him, he starts shooting. I don't know if this a tipping point or not, but if you have Mr. Z (who's the husband of Mrs. Carter) dissing Obama...

Was Mr. Z at the soul train night? That's right! (interruption) Mr. Z and Mrs. Carter were not at the soul train sequester. (interruption) Well, that's right. They didn't perform, but we don't know if they were on the guest list 'cause that's a state secret. No, if Mr. Z and Mrs. Carter were there, they would have performed. You don't invite those people to sit in the audience and watch the toadies from Memphis do a 1960s version of soul. No, no, no. You don't do that. You'd send Mr. Z out there. (interruption)

Well, I don't know. Maybe it is a tipping point.

Little Chief, Chief Keef, is Keith Cozart, born in 1995. He's an American rapper from Chicago.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: That's interesting, that people could think that this is Jay-Z dissing Obama. (interruption) Well, I know he says that politicians are excrement.

Let me get the exact line. "Politicians never did [excrement] for me except lie to me, distort history, wanna give me jail time and a fine..." Obama is not talking about Mr. Z's trip to Cuba in a critical way. Mr. Z is probably talk about Mitch McConnell, or some of the other politicians that are ripping him for going there. Rubio? Yeah, maybe. I just find it hard to believe that this is aimed at Obama. It could well be. Anyway, my friends, not often do I sit here behind the Golden EIB Microphone and not know why I just played some sound bites to you, but I find myself in that position.

I had these Jay-Z sound bites, and I'm told it's big stuff. But even after having aired it for you, I do not know why I did.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: The Atlantic has done a line-by-line analysis of Mr. Z's latest rap tune, and they have determined that Jay-Z is sending his message to the actual "haters." He's aiming that song at Marco Rubio, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and Mario Diaz-Balart, all members of Congress and the Senate from Florida, all Republicans. The Atlantic has a very long and detailed analysis of Jay-Z's open letter rap. They analyze it line by line. They try to plumb its deeper meanings, and they say it's addressed to these people.

Marco Rubio, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and Mario Diaz-Balart.

That's who Mr. Z was upset with for being critical of him going to Cuba.

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is a longtime GOP congresswoman from south Florida with an ACU rating somewhere in the 80's ....
... keeping in mind that ACU ratings have declined in usefulness somewhat in recent years, with the ideological decay of the GOP and certain DC-area "conservatives" like those who opportunistically or cravenly endorsed Obama in 2008 and then openly attacked conservatives both before and after the 2008 "immaculation" of Barack Obama.

Jay-Z is doing part of the soundtrack for the new “The Great Gatsby” movie which is one reason why I won’t be seeing it. No money from this “mitch”.
