Surprise: Rubio is “all-in” for amnesty
Powerline ^ | April 12, 2013 | Paul Mirengoff

Politico reports that Marco Rubio is prepared “to go all in to support sweeping immigration legislation, offering himself up as the public face of the bill.” This isn’t much a surprise. In all likelihood, Rubio has been prepared to be the front-man in the push for amnesty and path for citizenship for illegal aliens from the get-go. His sponsorship of reprehensible efforts to demonize critics of amnesty have shown him to be every bit as much of a ruthless pro-amnesty ideologue as Chuck Schumer, for whom he is fronting.

The only path to citizenship, and the only amnesty for illegal aliens, should be to return to their home country, submit applications through the US consulate, and wait, just like any other applicant.
Otherwise, they may choose to register as a guest worker, stay and work for a short period, and then return home to allow room for another guest worker to take their place.
If they choose neither path, and are apprehended, they should be identified and figerprinted, deported and denied for life any of the above options.

Rubio is a smooth talker but I never trusted him.

If it wasn't true, we would have heard from Rubio five seconds after it hit Drudge.

By the way, Rubio’s chief-of-staff used to be a lobbyist for the Association of Immigration Lawyers.

I would hazard a guess that Zhang did mean Crist, as in Charlie.

If this or any other amnesty passes, it’s the end of the GOP and the beginning of the implementation of socialism, Latino-style. Rubio is beyond dense - I just wish he’d start calling amnesty amensty instead of that stupid phrase “comprehensive immigration reform” that’s . . . amnesty. Non, Senor Rubio, you suck.

Good let him commit suicide now so we don’t have to fight to keep him from gettig the nomination in 2016.

As of now, it seems that a Rand Paul/Sarah Palin ticket is our last hope.

If they GOP can’t take back the WH in 2016, I will be retiring overseas.

For those of you that wish to call me a “coward” for “fleeing my country” I don’t even recognize my country anymore as it left me years ago and won’t be coming back in my lifetime.

So I will enjoy my final years on a sugar-white beach with windex-blue water and inexpensive cost of living.

I’ll be able to live an upper middle-class lifestyle, but if I chose to stay in America, or what’s left of it, I would be living in poverty.

Either way, I’ll be a minority, so I might as well be a minority in a country where my USD (hopefully) buys me more.

12 Million new voters, all of them Illegals. Now how do you think they will vote?

The lower US will be known as “Northern Mexico” by the year 2025 as they continue to flood our borders and breed like bunnies.

It's interesting to see everyone pile on over Rubio. I suppose when you prefer to have each and every illegal deported today, even though there is zero chance of that happening, you are also willing to miss his most important point which is securing the borders before any other actions are taken. Holding out for the impossible doesn't advance any causes and insures that entropy keeps having its way. It's what put Obama back in office.

I would rather the mass deportations, but I know that it will never happen - I'd be glad to see something actually done to secure the borders. One might ask just who their champions are and what those champions are doing to attain the sought after goal.

Well said. Those holding out for mass deportation, and calling anything less “amnesty” as if it were the same as 1986, are not practical or reasonable, IMO.

Obviously the devil is in the details, which will leak out as time goes on. But why are we endorsing a Gang’s action? What’s to be happy about siding up with the likes of Chuck Schumer? Why didn’t Rubio INSIST on open hearings like the article asks?

Friday afternoon news dumps, ignoring the requests of fellow GOP senators for information for the last week, cozying up with democrats....yeah, what’s not to be suspicious of?

And as somebody who actually lives on the border, I share your desire for more security. But talk is also very cheap.

Rubio is the big player in the gang of 8. He’s a rino fraud who fooled the tea party.

Grover vs. ‘the Bitter Enders’(Grover trying to give Rubio political cover)

One of Grover’s amnesty buddies, Cesar Conda is Rubios chief of staff!

Exclusive: Senator Marco Rubio’s Chief of Staff Maintains Financial Ties To Lobbying Firm

http://www.republicreport.org/2012/marco-rubio-lobbyist/

[snip]What sets Rubio’s office apart is Conda’s continued financial relationship with his lobbying firm. While many lobbyists tunnel deep into the upper echelons of government, most at least severe overt ties with their former clients. In Rubio’s case, his chief of staff still has an umbilical cord attached to K Street.

WAKE UP TEA PARTY, you are being USED!

Conda, immigrant rights lawyer, was Dick Cheney’s domestic policy advisor. He left there and went to work for George Soros. He is ALL about AMNESTY, always has been. He & Norquist destroyed prop 187 in California and they’re both tied into decades long amnesty promotion with NEWT Gingrich!

Rubio, through Norquist & Conda are using SPLC (who has named FR a ‘hate group’) talking points to destroy any anti amnesty group.

SOOOO..... who foisted Rubio on Florida conservatives? Who's the culprit behind the curtain? Grover Norquist? Or Soros?

Good question. Could be both.

Rubio is just another in a lengthening list of fast ones pulled on the tea party.

We need a better way to vet candidates.
