HILLSBORO, Ohio —U.S. Marshals stormed a home and arrested a man believing he had drugs and guns Thursday morning in Hillsboro.
The only problem was that marshals had the wrong man and even the wrong house.
Nicholas Brown was making breakfast for his three children and getting ready for work when a dozen armed marshals barged into his home and arrested him for offenses he said he never committed.

Each day I read of the arrest of people for crimes like robbery, rape, murder, burglary, auto theft and child porn. To some people, these arrests don’t matter. It is only important when the police make a mistake.
what you do is jail every officer in the raid, and all of their pensions are turned over as compensation.
Kicking down the door at the wrong damned address isn’t a mistake. Shooting a truck full of holes that doesn’t remotely fit the description of the one in the A.P.B. isn’t a mistake.
This is potentially lethal negligence.

It’s a good thing he didn’t have a waffle shaped like a gun or he and his family would be chilling in the local morgue.

Since you are not referencing a specific incident, and are leaving the question open to interpretation, what if the truck that was accidentally stopped contained wanted violent felons who were intent on killing a police officer?

So why aren’t the “good” police officers reporting on the bad ones. They don’t, when these things happen they all cover up for the fellow policeman. That leaves only bad police officers in the end.
I totally agree with you. I have worked with people that do not question the job but just go out and perform it,just like puppets.
I should add the reason his father was angry was because after he learned that the 2 deputies had a sheet with the 2 guys descriptions and the tag number of this car involved. Neither one of those officers thought to check the sheet more closer, if had; they would have seen the differences in those 2 pieces of information. Kids didn’t deserve going through it, you know. One of those things. Hubby said he was scared since no one would listen though more sensible heads prevailed. I don’t like circumstantial evidence myself to be the leading component of a case. Get me solid-even one solid fact.
The Marshals excuse or qualify their actions by saying “It’s not uncommon for us to arrest fugitives in places other than that provided by the court”.

You frequently bust into the wrong home and arrest absolutely innocent people, who aren’t doing anything other than living their previously happy life. You then destroy their personal property, shoot their dogs and assault them.
To top it off you cite them on trumped up bogus charges to increase the ante to obtain sympathy of the courts for your synthetic accusation that you could have been the victim.
Your answer to this incident and others like it is a manufactured tool of absolution for righteousness. It’s as if you walk on water and can swim.
There are no limits to your powers over “the citizen” as you deify yourself and your brothers.
You had the wrong place and a white guy. This while the warrant called for a specific place, that was described and a man who, similarly, was described.
Wrong neighborhood and the dude was the wrong color. You couldn’t check his ID! drivers license, querried the kids, passport or any number of other things afterward?

Right. Other than those two little details, the raid was flawless.
He is referencing the period when Cnristpoher Dorner was on the loose and LEO! before asking any questions or ascertaining with certainty they had the right vehicle and person, simply opened fire and shot up vehicles with more than 40 rounds in instance and nearly 100 rounds in another.
In both instances the vehicles didn’t match the description and did the the two little chinese galsm who were perforated.
Dorner was a hulking black fella, weighing some 250 pounds or more.

Officers are dismissed for cause every day, and some are arrested and prosecuted. In many cases, their fellow officers give adverse information against them to internal affairs and in court.
Very true. They have this and the public complaints that go to IA. They are being watched so people should not think they can do anything they want because that is not true. I would not want them at my house as this. I might freak out, or just defend myself because you have no idea of what is going on since it’s taking place so fast. These cops have said they made a mistake on this incident. People, like myself, have to decide how they feel/to sue or whatever.
As far as I’m concerned the police have totally crossed the line and I haven’t heard anyone in the police department complaining about in any media.
