Fayetteville Police tell WTVD both robbery suspects fled the home after the exchange of gunfire. One of the suspects, 25-year-old Dominik Council, was found dead on the side of the road nearly two hours after the incident.
The other suspect, 20-year-old Xavier White, was found wounded and transported to an area hospital, where he later died, according to the station.
Police on Saturday identified 24-year-old Lamyer Campbell and 24-year-old Derek Hair as suspects in the attempted home invasion.

Homeowner did go to the hospital, but 2 of the four suspects died...
The names of the suspects sound Afro-American, though not all the names sound like they are Afro-American.
I guess the homeowner was a decent shot with his gun...
This is from a Fox TV Station in the Fayetteville, NC area.
Who needs more than ten bullets in a magazine?
“Who needs more than ten bullets in a magazine?”
Well, those poor home-invaders need as much protection as they can muster against those evil, greedy, knuckle-dragging, bible-thumping, gun-loving, ignorant, moron home owners.
I like happy endings :-)
Four home invaders! How scary would that have been without a gun?
Don’t even want to think about it.
Home owner was shot and the condition of the homeowner is unknown.
If this happened in New York, he would still have five bullets left in his magazine. Or, he better have five left or the empty brass and unfired bullets must add up to no more than seven. If not, he goes to jail for violation of the NY SAFE Act.
Gotta keep these gun criminals in line, you know!
The above will be the only NY-legal handgun in ten years.
When they passed that moronic law in NY the first thought I had was the image of the father of The Boondock Saints who carried I think eight pistols on a chest rig.
Well, that is two less to worry about at someone else’s house.
The other two just might have ‘got religion’, and seen it’s time to either reform, or retire.
Two hours to die after getting shot????
That couldn’t happen from any of those big name super-duper hollow points that now cost two dollars a cartridge, could it?
Here’s what I suggest, a couple of these ‘per customer’:
Worked for Jim Cirillo in the ‘Big Apple’ in his time, so, why not?
I too, love happy endings.
|Survivors are black.
This is what the left wants to take away from us. They WANT the subhuman lowlife to waltz right in and take whatever it wants - “redistribution” of wealth.
Several things could be surmised from this story:
1. The home was actually a “drug house”
2. The home owner was probably armed with a shotgun.
3. The invaders were not properly armed or trained in entry techniques.
2 out of 4 will do, if the remainder flee, although 4 for 4 with one shot kills would have been ideal but unlikely. The homeowner did good enough to get by this time.
When the Air Force first replaced the standard ID Card with the “CAC Card” (with the chip), they sent a group of techs out with a trailer and performed mass issues. This was during the height of the “Left Behind” series.
I joked with the guy working on my card and commented that I was ok with a chip in a card, as long as he didn’t try to put it under my skin. He became very quiet and tense.
I have a dozen 30 rnd mags for my AR’s and I know how to do math!
The cycle is destroy morality, destroy families, destroy schools, destroy jobs to create more criminals. The more criminals that are created and the more fear they instill in the public, the greater the public approval for a totalitarian police state to control crime. This homeowner is not playing by the rules.
I live in NY. state and totally agree with your statement.
More importantly, what did the thieves think the Homeowner possessed that was valuable enough to storm the house in the first place? I doubt the Homeowner was asleep at the time of the attack, because the odds are stacked against him waking from deep sleep and overwhelming four armed invaders. It could happen, but in my experience; I doubt it. The Homeowner was definitely Johnny on the Spot, nice shooting Pard.
Won’t defeat a vest, how convenient?
Fayetteville, NC has got to rate as one of the god-awful-est places to attempt a home invasion.
I don’t think I have ever met a soldier, active duty or veteran, of any branch, who didn’t have at least one weapon. And among Airborne soldiers, typically a half dozen just firearms.
Noteworthy: the picture of the home that was invaded had some kind of hanging banner or plaque on the front door. It could mean a great deal if its inscription could be read, but that particular photo was too low resolution.
Or dogs in the neighborhood could have started barking.
Otherwise, like you said, if the homeowner was awakened from a deep sleep, he might have been killed and the robbers could have gotten away...
The location might indicate Army Special Forces (Fayetteville, NC). He might have been using Army-type ammunition he purchased for his home defense.
Another article gave the street where the house was located, and Google street view of that street has that clean, tidy, senior NCO or officer look. New cars, mowed lawns, etc. Very uniform. It could be a military housing area.
If these home invaders chose that home randomly, they need a lot of work with their randomizer.
Maybe these folks thing they can play the 'race card' and get away with it.
And that might have been the thinking with these robbers -- if caught, get off because you are black.
The other two are on the loose -- still.
Both Campbell and Hair have been charged with first degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit first degree burglary, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The suspects were last known to be in a dark colored 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a North Carolina license plate AMC-6212. Police said Hair and Campbell should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Campbell or Hair are asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 322-5346 or Crime Stoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
Severely burned Amish? Homeowner must have had a flamethrower...
Where did you see that the homeowner was burned?
When we took our CWP course we were told that after the shooting, (assuming the perp survives or the DA wants to make an example of you) that cops, juries, prosecutors will wonder why you have the need for any kind of ammunition that is specially made. The Deputy explained that it rarely bodes well for the homeowner. He also said not to shoot someone with an elephant gun either. Overkill. Lol
This will make you sick if you think you need something “valuable” in your home in order for a home invasion to occur.
4 young (Amish) thugs, all under 18, targeted a women who had just purchased a 48 in. TV with her tax return. They saw the TV in an open window in her home from the sidewalk. At 1am they knocked on her front door and asked if there was a “n-——” in the house. She said “no” and that’s when they broke down her front door, shot her in the head and stole the TV and a laptop.
Asked why they did it, one of the thugs said “I wanted it” meaning he saw something he wanted, the TV, and did it the way thugs do.
Most home invasions are narcotics related drug rips where the crooks believe the residents have a large stash of drugs/money or the homeowner ripped off the crooks in a drug deal and they are trying to retrieve their drugs/money. Home invasion crews also have a huge error rate on getting the wrong home so I am glad I don’t live near a drug dealer! I am aware of one interview where a drug dealer said he parked in front of his neighbors house (older single lady) so a “crew” looking to rip him would get the wrong house (never do business at your house). Shrewd tactical decision - very poor moral decision. These guys think like this because drug rips are far more common (most unreported) than you would believe.
With that said, I have noted more stories about “stranger” home invasions in the last few years although many of these are associated with other criminal acts and are typically committed in desperation by the crook(s).
A major concern about home invasions for me is the imprinting in the minds of crooks that this is a viable way to get things. If our economic situation gets much worse this will become a more common way for crooks to get stuff such as food or items to barter for food or vice.
I am thankful I don’t live in a poor neighborhood. Post-Katrina there were groups running around kicking in doors looking for food, booze, pills, and/or other valuables. The police eventually secured what was left on Main Street and for a time they rarely ventured onto the side-streets. I imagine quite a few homes looked empty that were occupied. We would see a repeat of this when the grocery store shelves were empty and half a city has fled for one event or another. I bet some of the bodies with bullet holes that were recovered floating around New Orleans were folks that entered a home they believed to be empty.
Will be interesting to hear the rest of the story. Four crooks sounds like a crew looking for something specific. Most criminals know this is a very high risk crime because sentences are very stiff for a home invasion and/or many homeowners are armed so it’s rarely a random crime. The two on the run will be charged with murder.
The only answer to feral gangs is to arm yourself and move as far away as you can get. We had one when I was a young patrolman where two crackheads beat an elderly woman to death for $20.00 to get a 5 minute high. That was many years ago, but it’s still repeated today.
Sickening. These crimes are largely the result of progressives utopian schemes for a welfare state. It is evil. Endless welfare never works and contributes to a moral collapse among the recipients.
Thugs and Obama have the same mindset. What you own, or they think you own, is actually their’s to re-claim possession. They think that all that they covet shall be their’s, and should the ‘temporary owner’ (that means YOU and ME) get in the way, oh well.
Both thugs are willing to use violence to achieve their goals.
WHAT IN MY ORIGINAL POSTING MENTIONED -—A VEST-— ANYHOW??
Have you had your evening dose of liquid lucidity, yet?
Again, here is what I posted.
Folks, see if you can find the word ‘vest’ in it?

Wadcutters are NOT specially made! Neither are semi-wadcutters, and I do NOT mean what some folks call “the FBI load”. Wadcutters are nothing more than ‘lead soda cans’.
Elmer Keith, if you’d not heard of him, look him up. All he ever shot were semi-wadcutters.
I eschew using major manufacturers’ hollowpoints, or remnufactured HP loads, as well. All the YouTube videos demonstrate that hollowpoint bullets, when they fail, become wadcutters, so why buy expensive bullets that will fail, and just use wadcutters. Federal, Remington, Winchester all make them as standard ammuntion.
I choose to NOT use a semi-automatic magazine-dependent, engineered for FTE, FTF action pistol. I have no use for ‘plus-p’ stuff. I’d rather shoot six well, than anything more than 8 not so well. (It drives BABS nuts, doncha know!)
Nothing, just imagine the next group of guys likely to break down your doors at 3AM? They will most likely present themselves wearing body armor. This being an outlaw patriot website and all.
Not likely he got these creeps before they procreated.
So true. I have a liberal old buddy who has a 20ga coach gun and a single action revolver in .44 mag and he thinks he’s a big gun rights gun nut. He insists the way he’s armed should be enough for me and that I should get rid of any AR15 machine guns and high capacity clips at the demand of those grieving for the children at Sandy Hook. A self described gun expert with only the MSM’s talking points and vernacular.
Of course, my refusal (as if I owned any of those EVIL things) caused him to label me “insane”.
I’ve been told that wadcutters make an excellent home defense round out of a .38.
