The federal Liberals officially named Justin Trudeau their new leader Sunday. He won the support of about 80 per cent of Liberals who voted.

Trudeau, 41, secured an overwhelming first-ballot victory, 45 years to the month after his father took the same position.

Time for the west to leave the east, let them wallow in their own penniless misery while the west thrives.

Ummm, before everyone starts believing the CBC propaganda that JT is already Canada’s next PM, let’s remember that this party is the same bunch of geniuses that said Stephane Dion would take the country by storm. And then Michael Ignatieff.

Wait till Justin starts talking specifics, and the NDP get their claws into him. Prediction for next election: another Harper majority.

I’m sure that the acceptance speech in French in Quebec is a sign of things to come. And hopefully that sign is ‘stop.’ I can only hope that this campaign continues to make idiotic steps like this, choosing to grandstand in already liberal areas.

Then again, I’m also reminded that Mitt Romney planned on his victory party in Boston... That worked out well for him, didn’t it?

It’s been happening here since the Adams Family (and includes the Harrisons, Roosevelts, Kennedys, Clintons, Bushes).

His father, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, was a lying, Liberal POS 45 years ago. Nice to know Justin is upholding the family tradition.

Quebeckers are an arrogant lot. When French President Charles (the great insulter) DeGaulle visited Canada, he regaled the Quebeckers about going independent from Canada proper. Of course, this embarrassed the Canadian government, but then it was Le Grand Charles’ turn.

Some of the Quebeckers, after DeGaulle’s speech was over, informed him that he needed to work on his French! The Quebeckers felt their French was purer than that spoken IN France.

DeGaulle was so incensed, he cut his Canadian visit short, and flew back to France! The Quebeckers were the only insulters to best Charles DeGaulle.

Unfortunately, Turd-owe Junior (TJ) wishes to ‘finish’ Canada in a similar fashion as ‘Turd-owe-with-a-tan’ (Obamugabe) wishes to ‘finish’ the US. God help us all!

Kinda reminds me of the Israelites pushing God for a king, rather than Judges. They got Saul, you got the Kenyan fellow and we may get TJ!

Prayers for our world, folks!

Posted this on another forum just before I saw your comment:

The question should be, who would be a better Lieberal leader: Justin Turd-owe or Justin Bee-bur? Tough question, when you think about it. (sarc)

Substance? Tie, neither have much substance.

Style? Tie, completely different styles, though each has massively more style than substance.

Electability? Slight edge to Turd-owe. The 40 year old women swoon for T while the 15 year old girls swoon for B.

Longevity? Slight edge to Bee-bur. Most of T’s average supporters are likely to cease breathing in 30-40 years while B’s on average, will likely have an additional 25 years before they expire. (See previous question.)

Best for the country? Tie. Neither!

(sarc)

As a conservative in public school, then high school and finally university in Ottawa during Turd-owe Sr’s Prime Ministership, there were rumours going around that he and Marc Lalonde were very ‘close’. I read that in the 60’s and 70’s, M. Jagger and D. Bowie spent ‘time’ together, though both had a series of girlfriends/lovers/wives, so the Ottawa rumour may be true.

The only good thing that I can say about Turd-owe is that in his senior years, he apparently came to Jesus. He apparently started attending mass every AM and PM, near his Mount Royal home. Age and the approach of death have a way of drawing many back to God!

Both his parents were marxists. I’m not sure who was the worst, Pierre or his red whore Margaret? Anyone know?

Now they have a real “Red Diaper Baby” for the Liberals. Perhaps the conservatives can really knock them out of the box now.

No, under our supposedly “conservative” government, it is still illegal for a doctor to provide private medical care for most services (optometry, dentistry and some other exceptions). Our health care system has less choice than communist China and, predictably, continues to endanger Canadians with rationed care and our economy with ever expanding costs. But you will soon be joining us. Once Obamacare makes many employers abandon private health care insurance, another crisis will ensue and the Democrats will use it as the excuse to finally nationalize the entire US health care system.

As for Trudeau, nobody should underestimate the spell that the name still holds for many older Canadians, including many immigrant groups, as well as the media. The name alone will be worth 5% at the polls. Having said that, Trudeau has to face an opponent that is very well funded and not afraid to attack. Young Trudeau has a clear advantage heading over the past three liberal leaders (youth, name recognition), but he could still stumble if the Conservative Party can find some soft spots. I personally think the 2015 election is going to be a brutal fight in the trenches and that we’re likely heading for another minority government of some sort.

Good Lord, please spare Canada from another liberal fascist burden on our nation.

Thats all we need, just when Canada is beginning to recover from the Trudeau demographic warfare machine, another bout of Utopian whoo haw, increased taxes, and end of the Canadian Armed forces, there are only 100,000 members of the Canadian Armed Forces, not enough to even maintain Canada’s sovereignty against incursion by Russia in the North.

Harper has made hard choices in cuts which have inflamed the commies ( NDP) and the Utopian Liberals (fascists) in Canada. These parties prey on the low info masses of Canada and the completely liberal world of academe. They have been the right choices for Canada’s economy.

Even now people who earn over $50,000 dollars pay 50% of their income in taxes in income tax and federal / provincial sales taxes. The health care system dictates doctors salaries and they are engaged in a work to rule campaign across the country bt refusing to take on new patients, and the system comprises 55% of the federal budget.Harper is trying to dig out from ubnder all that by
making the Canadian economy boom.

If Justin Trudeau becomes PM, Canada will re-enter the dark ages or peony , utopian liberal fascism. Our taxes will rise to 70%.Virtually everyone but a few will work either for a federal, provincial government, or a “Crown” corp[oration. Good bye to freedom for good, its sparse enough now.
