Over the weekend, the Louisiana restaurant, Chicken Express, stood up for Second Amendment rights in a way thats gaining popularity with both businesses and consumers around the country: free food and service for concealed carry permit holders.
Chicken Express of Bossier City, just outside of Shreveport, gave away a #1 combo meal on Saturday, April 13 for customers who could produce a legal concealed handgun permit. Restaurant owner Randal Neel stated that it wasnt just about business, it was about having the opportunity to take a stand for Constitutional rights.
Neel told KLTV 7, It feels really good to be able to stand up for what you believe in. Apparently, consumers in the Bossier City area felt that same, as Neel also stated that it was their busiest Saturday ever.

If Louisiana politicians are smart, theyll take examples like Chicken Expresss give-away as an indication on how they should vote if they want to keep their jobs.

They have locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Georgia. Maybe those others
will show support also.

It's Saturday morning and Bruce has awakened from a two week alcohol and drug laced binge.........realizing that he is short of cash, Bruce says aloud, " I need to rob someplace, someplace not too far away, yeah, the Chicken Express, yeah!"
This Chicken Express is fairly new. Its about 10 minutes from my house and it is a welcome addition to my drive home. I was worried about it because its location is very south Bossier and unless you are one of the people headed to the outskirts of Bossier or headed into Elm Grove like me, you'd never know it was there. I won't worry about it now though. What a great way to put your name on the map! I've been in a bad mood all day so this little local good news is definitely a welcome thing! Good job Chicken Express! I'll be supporting you!

We have one in Georgia somewhere between Atlanta and Augusta. Get the Frozen Custard and try the Creamed Corn Nuggets.
