A picture posted on Twitter shows an individual walking on the roof directly overlooking one of the blasts at the Boston Marathon.
The picture of the mystery person was posted shortly after the terror attack and raises the eerily possibility that one of the perpetrators watched as the carnage was unleashed.
Law-enforcement sources told the New York Post that a 20-year-old Saudi man was detained at a Boston hospital.

Someone watching the finish line of the Boston Marathon hardly seems unusual.

Being that he was the only one up there yes. If there was a crowd I would say they were just watching the end of the race.

This was well after the elite runners had finished, so unless he knew someone in the race watching a bunch of amateur runners seems unlikely.
I’ve read so many accounts by now I don’t remember which one it was, BUT, someone at the race said that he was surprised by how many canine units were at the start and finish of the race. This man said he was told it was ‘just an exercise’, but he suspects the cops heard a rumor of trouble but didn’t want to scare anyone.
I don’t know that area of Boston. Are there a lot of Muzzie there?
Highly speculative, but reportedly a Saudi was acting hinky and hurt in the blast. If he planted the device(s), he may have been slated as “would be”, that is to say unwitting, martyr by the person with the trigger. Would you expect more honor among terrorists?
The two blasts were separated by just enough time to dial and connect to a detonating receiver.
Watching events from rooftops is perfectly normal activity. During the Boston Fourth of July celebration, people in buildings with a view of the Esplanade will often throw rooftop parties.
You could detonate cell phone IED’s using WIFI from another smart phone from that distance even if cell service was shut down.
Police? Security? National Guard? Not necessaarily evil.
Not really. That is close to the Public Library, Copley Square, many hotels, upscale Newbury Street.
