Ban people on roofs without background checks! //sarcasm
The area of Boston is right near the Public Library, Trinity Church, Copley Sq, and Several Elegant High Rise Hotels and office Buildings. The two tallest Skyscrapers (The Pru and the Hancock) dominate the the skyline, and the streets are lined with elegant boutiques and restaurants.
I love that part of Boston and know it by heart. The preponderance of the particular demographic that you mention is due to the large amount of Taxi drivers, Hotel Workers, Food Service Personnel, etc concentrated in the area. So, the answer to your question is “Yes.”
agreed...happens in NY all the time..
It could be...shock... someone just happened to be on that roof. They could have been watching the race, repairing the air conditioner, who knows.
People watch the marathon from rooftops all over Boston. Yesterday cops ordered everyone off the rooftops, this person could have been a cop, the building owner, someone making sure everyone else was off the roof, or, it could be a perp.
Most people at the marathon don't give a bleep about the "elites", they are there to see family and friends so it is highly likely this person was there watching a bunch of amateurs.
Let’s see. If the guy has a beard, a turbine, an RPG, and a flying carpet, then we got our man.
On the other hand, the idea of a person standing on his roof to watch the Marathon go by doesn’t particularly strike me as suspicious. If you watch the rest of the race, you’ll see that there are other spectators too...some in some pretty funky orientations.
That’s not the finish line. The guy on the roof is where the second explosion occurred. Look in the distance at the gray smoke on the same side of the street. That’s the finish line. That’s the site of the first explosion.
My son goes to Boston Children's Hospital every month or so for his heart. The hospital is about two miles from the finish line, and the lobby often looks like an Iraqi market.
I watch the local Air Show from the roof of my plant most years.
Besides residents, there are 65,000 Saudi students now studying in the USA.
yeah probably. or security. whoever placed those bombs was long gone
I saw a photo this morning of several cops looking up towards the top of a building.
It’s Bigfoot.
Come on, people.
I know, but it would still be valuable information.
The person who saw the canine units was a coach from the University of Mississippi or Missouri.
Also, IMO someone knew this was going down ahead of time...why did the markets around the planet tank PRIOR to the bombing and then bounce back today. Odd coincidence.
I doubt it. If it was a minute between blasts, I might agree with you. The first reaction is WTF, the second is OMG, and the third might be be 'dig out the phone and call 911.' The space between the two bombs was about twenty seconds.
That’s some new video. Can’t seem to find it yet, but that could be interesting. And I earlier didn’t think anything of this really.....so what somebody is on the roof at a major event.
But, that is a little bit interesting I must say.
“and the lobby often looks like an Iraqi market. “
That says it all. This was a muzzie attack. bastards.
Markets were almost opposite from geopolitics of bombings (i.e. not related). What happened over the weekend was a gold takedown and a lot of margin calls and stop losses. Those all kicked in Monday with the tamking of the gold price and commodities in general. The markets simply followed since they are based on not much more than commodity speculation.
If terrorism were really on the minds of the markets we would have seen gold up 6% yesterday (like 9/11) instead of down 6%. In short the Boston bombing was a nonevent for world markets.
