Officials: 2 devices caused explosions, no unexploded devices found

Only two explosive devices were involved in an “act of cowardice” that left at least 176 people injured and three dead near the finish line of the 117th Boston Marathon yesterday, city officials said today.

“Make no mistake, an act of cowardice and of this severity can not be justified or explained; it can only be answered,” Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said during a press conference at the Westin Copley Plaza Hotel today. “The loss we’ve suffered is enormous.”

Authorities said the explosions were caused by two devices.

No unexploded devices were found, Gov. Deval Patrick said. Other parcels were examined but no other devices were found.

I watched part of the news conference. Of what I saw, little actual information was released. All of the public officials took their turns, getting face time and saying what you would expect during such a news conference.

I did not see the whole news conference. Did they ever address the “Man on the roof top” photos yet? I don’t know how common it is for people to be on their rooftops in that area. It may be very commonplace, but it could be unusual and significant.

Weekly Standard is quoting David Axelrod as saying Obama “thinks this had something to do with Tax Day”.

That either means we are being set-up for the Tea Party to take the fall on this, or he’s a complete friggin’ idiot as he’s now muddled the investigation by signaling his desired
conclusion.

All the markings of Muslim terrorists.

I'm skeptical.

Two improvised devices in trash cans? Not normal Al Qaeda MO.

Serious jihadists like to go off with the bomb. They're called "martyrdom operations". Likewise, nails and ball bearings are way too low tech for Al Qaeda unless this is the junior division. They like serious explosive which causes serious human and collateral damage. if this was Al Qaeda, the whole block would be in ruins.

My money is on a Ted Kaczinski/Tim McVeigh type.

This is beginning to make the TWA Flight 800 investigation look like a Mormon Boy Scout Picnic by comparison.

(The second was geared to target first responders)

Logical presumption, but not what I saw on the video. The second bomb was too far away for that.

First there were 5 unexploded bombs and now there were none.
Sounds like cover-up to me.

Those reports of “white smoke” is a telltale of flash powder. Potasium Cloride and fine powdered aluminum. Same stuff that made the once upon a time was in”silver salutes the M-80 and used in common firecrackers as well as flash grenades. FBI reports a “crude explosive” however there were not any reports of a bright flash which would confirm that conclusion.

“My money is on a Ted Kaczinski/Tim McVeigh type.”

Um, McVeigh, all by himself I might add /s destroyed a huge Federal building.

This looked like to me to be about the same explosion as a small IED used with much success in the Middle East. Most decidedly low tech.

Wait a minute! What happened to the other devices they were talking about yesterday? You know, Alex Jones has been calling false flag and people call him a tin foil guy but this gets fishier by the minute!

Altered tapes pulled by the media, unknown guys on the roof before the blast, "training exorcises" going on at the time of the attack, and now missing unexploded devices. I smell a rat here, a big commie democRAT!

Well, I'm no conspiracy theorist, and don't claim ANY involved here...

Still, I think the biggest "what-a-coinkidink" is this one -- the Boston JFK Library fire, which broke out shortly before 3 p.m., which they now have backed off & claim was a mechanical failure based fire:

Preliminary investigation at JFK Library plays down possibility of explosion

So, we are now told that the fire in a Boston library that broke out shortly before 3 p.m. -- had NOTHING to do with two bombs that went off at 2:50 p.m.?????? And this "mechanical fire" that occurred about the same time "just happened" to begin at that time?

I say let's have the government assign a new "Warren Commission" about the JFK Library fire and these two bombs, etc.

I'm sure after a few years' investigation, they'll tell us it was a lone bombster and that the "two bombs" was really "one bomb" that went off and that the ricochets caused the other two locale "incidents."

(Not that I'm a govt. 'fact-finder' skeptic or anything like that...at all...wouldn't think of it)

One other thing.

Jihadists like to claim the "credit" for the destruction they cause.

There's been nothing.

Look at all the bus bombings and such in Israel - this is very similar to what the PLO types have done there for decades. Al Qaeda does typically think "bigger", but there's a lot of mayhem in that part of the world that doesn't include the martyrdom factor.

Yes. Its a coincidence. Lets think logically, shall we? Why would 2 bombs be linked to some itty bitty fire a few miles away? Wouldn’t you think that if they were linked, there would have been a BOMB at the JFK library? Or something that would have at least caused damage?

Take a deep breath. Sheesh.

Quite different, if current reports are accurate.

There was no C-4 or other high grade explosives in the Boston bombs. Nails and ball bearings inside pressure cookers with low grade explosives. Two bombs killed a total of three people in a crowded area.

That tells you what sort of devices these are.

The explosive used was that “Mother of Satan” crap they use in the middle east, something made from acetone and peroxide and packed into pressure cookers. Its the MO of the middle eastern camel humpers and if it uses camel humper explosives in camel humper containers and kills innocent “infidels” with improvised shrapnel like a camel humper, I`d say it probably humps camels and prays to a child molesting, pig god!

Well guys like Alex Jones are saying it was that acetone and peroxide crap the rag-heads use in their operations. Like I said before if it walks, talks and kills like a camel humper then it probably humps Bactrian!
