Imagine if, during the campaign of 2008, someone had written the following: “If Barack Obama is elected president, then each year from now on the federal budget will be a trillion dollars in the red. He will pile up in two terms more debt than all previous presidents combined. Interest rates will stay at near zero; 7.6 percent unemployment will be proof of progress in creating jobs. Record use of food stamps, unemployment, and disability insurance will be hallmarks of recovery.

My comparison of George W. Bush before Election Day, 2008, with the drug-addled communist today:
Bush permitted a $500B deficit in 2008, which was an unconscionably reckless burden to inflict on our children. Obama’s deficits have been 2-3 times as bad with no return at all on that wasteful spending.
Bush permitted systematic infringements around the edges of the Constitution, allowing the FBI, IRS, and agencies with a homeland security mission to evade requirements for probable cause and search warrants under special circumstances. Obama has overtly attacked the center of freedom of religion with his HHS abortion mandate, the center of the fourth Amendment with his IRS rules allowing collection of email without a warrant, and the entire Second Amendment his systematic efforts to subvert our right to defend ourselves against all enemies, and those are just a few of the many shocking violations under the usurper.
Bush fought in Iraq/Afghanistan with the goal of winning at a low level of effort, never risking making the news for friendly or enemy casualties. Obama seems set on “ending” the war rather than “winning” the war, and has maneuvered into a position where we are certain to lose, but we’re going to pull out slowly before that loss to maximize the danger to our soldiers before the terrorists finally win.
