Very tragic circumstances, and there is something suggestive about the fact that the final, 26th mile, of the marathon, where the bombs were planted, was marked with a banner commemorating the Sandy Hook events. I do not know what to make of this. Another, very different association, is that the day of the Boston bombing was also Israel's independence day. As I speculate about the events, I keep going over these disparate facts.

I must be different. I keep my mourning to myself.
I don’t go around saying how bad I feel and I don’t need sympathy from people when they do not have any idea how I feel.
This idea of traveling around like a celebrity because their children got murdered kind of gets to me.

This is the new ObamaNation. People need to get used to being traumatized. The low rent buffoons are running this country now.

Maybe they should just stay home and stop allowing themselves to be exploited like the 9/11 widows.

I know its wrong, but I find the media’s desperate desire to keep Sandy Hook - and their gun control agenda - in the headlines at all costs hysterical.

Remember Larry Storch from F Troop back when? We knew him when I was a kid in California. Something he told my dad and I stuck with me. "Nothing happens by accident on TV. If it's on there it was planned that way."

I share your sentiment and I just find it odd that they were at the event. I lost 2 pets in November and I know it is different than children but I am still grieving for my pets and I don’t think that I would have strength to go to a marathon if it was my children but everyone is different I guess.

I feel for them, but they are being exploited. Some of them (not all) are allowing themselves to be exploited.
Those who continue to court the spotlight, accept trips on Air Force One etc are in danger of becoming the new "Jersey Girls" ... i.e. Kristen Breitweiser et al, who got a little too used to getting glammed up and going on TV with Chrissie Matthews.
In contrast, Todd Beamer's wife handled her 9/11 widowhood with grace and dignity. She worked quietly to preserve her husband's memory, and steered clear of politicians, pundits and cameras.

Did they learn that bombs can do a lot more damage ...faster...than guns?
Probably not.

It seems as though “celebrity” is something to be grabbed at any cost. The 9/11 liberals and Muslim apologist crew was typical. Fame outweighs decency by far. A mother’s grief at her son’s death in Iraq is a lynch pin for Code Pink and the anti Bush frenzy. It’s nothing new but it has value for the left.

Interesting that “they” had all left the area well prior to the bombs exploding, but are now traumatised again...
WTH was/is going on with these people from Sandy Hook?

Like you, I would not be up for any public and strenuous events so soon after a major trauma. Everyone is different - but I put that in as my opinion.
I am also startled that they were so fast. It is noted in the article that they had all already crossed the line before the explosions occured. That means they were in the very front runners of an internationally competetive race.
Running 26 miles at any pace would just about kill an ordinary person. One needs to train. For the Boston marathon, one is competing against the fastest and strongest marathon runners in the world. Lelisa Benti crossed the line as winner at 2.10. Other runners poured in after him, and much of the field still had to finish when then bomb went off at 2.50. The Sandy Hook group, therefore, were within the first 45 minutes. Very fast.
