President Obama angrily blamed the defeat Wednesday of his centerpiece gun-control proposal on lies spread by the National Rifle Association, calling it “a pretty shameful day for Washington.”
“The gun lobby and its allies willfully lied about the bill,” Mr. Obama said in the White House rose garden about 90 minutes after the vote. “It came down to politics.”
As he spoke, Mr. Obama was surrounded by family members of victims of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting. Also with him was former Rep. Gabby Giffords of Arizona, wounded in an assassination attempt.
Senators voted 54-46 late Wednesday to expand background checks of gun purchases, six votes shy of the 60 needed for passage of the amendment.

Imagine that, a guy who you know is lying when his lips are moving actually having the big brass ones to complain that someone else is lying (and, in fact, they weren’t - HE WAS FROM THE START).
I cannot wait until 2017, when this lying, statist POS is permanently retired from his present job.
As I watched Obama say those words “The gun lobby and its allies willfully lied about the bill,” , all I could think:
1) how battle lines between conservatives and the left tare becoming clearer by the day
2) the GOP leadership/NRA are/will be cowards for letting this man call them a liar
3) The left are doing EVERYTHING to provoke a fight.

Put 0bama in a padded room. It might prevent his death.
Lying is to say that background checks of innocent Americans will prevent another incident like that which happened at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Not like the sequestration cuts or the payoffs to get ObamaCare votes. Those were fully necessary.
You know, it’d be a shame if his fingers got pinched in the press. Plus, lead is toxic according to EPA.....
