Top Dem sees 'train wreck' for health law rollout Or...(Dems running from Obamacare?)

WASHINGTON - A senior Democratic senator who helped write President Barack Obama's health care law stunned administration officials Wednesday, saying openly he thinks it's headed for a "train wreck" because of bumbling implementation.

"I just see a huge train wreck coming down," Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., told Obama's health care chief during a routine budget hearing that suddenly turned tense.

Baucus is the first top Democrat to publicly voice fears about the rollout of the new health care law, designed to bring coverage to some 30 million uninsured people through a mix of government programs and tax credits for private insurance. Polls show that Americans remain confused by the complex law, and even many uninsured people are skeptical they will be helped by benefits that start next year.

A six-term veteran, Baucus expects a tough re-election in 2014. He's still trying to recover from approval ratings that nosedived amid displeasure with the health care law in his home state.

Just blame conservatives for all Obamacare failures. Low-information voters will believe anything the MSM tells them, no matter how idiotic.

Relax, he is only saying this to win re-election and will change back to his supporting the legislation after he get re-elected. Hell-ooo, wake up!

One thing “we” have been good at doing is continuing to show Obamacare for the disaster it is. Since “they” control the media, this is an accomplishment. Even branding it “Obamacare” and making that name stick is a great PR move, as it will be his legacy when it becomes an epic failure.

By ridiculing Obamacare and the way it was enacted (”pass the bill so we’ll know what’s in it”) we effective used Alinsky techniques against them.

As I have pointed out in several posts Baucus will win reelection easily. Most the folks in Montana see no difference between the parties they are all idiots, but they see the value of having their Senator, in a state with barely a million people, as Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee..there is zero chance they will replace him with some newbie with no seniority in this corrupt system..

Have to disagree with you there Bob. Obama won the election in part by telling his supporters Obama Cares..

The same senators, lawyers all, who would probably spend a week poring over an apartment lease, couldn’t find the time to bother reading a 1000 page bill... and now they’re surprised to find what’s in it.

Obamacare could be the only thing to prevent amnesty. They have so many headaches as it as without adding 30 million more people onto it overnight.

And if Mitt were President the "train wreck" would be because of HIS bumbling implementation.

King hussein and the little rascals will simply blame the States and mouthpiece media will echo the chant.

Notice how it is newsworthy when a Democrat actually speaks the truth, because that is an event that happens so rarely.

I work in healthcare, and the damage he has already wrought on the industry is substantial.

Many hospitals are losing money hand over fist, laying off people and decreasing accessibility to services. And it is directly related to government actions.

Failing because of “bumbling implementation.” What BS. Remaking 1/6 of the US economy with the “best and brightest” from Harvard was bound to be a colossal failure. There’s a reason markets, competition and the invisible hand work so well. Millions of people wage war daily to be the best and lowest cost provider of products and services. Competition hones your skills, makes you acutely aware of costs, and forces you to focus on customer needs. Government does NONE of that...they steal money from us tax slaves and foolishly waste it. There is no way in hell the government can do anything as well as the private sector (defense excluded).
