WASHINGTON --A visibly infuriated President Barack Obama surrounded himself with tear-stained parents of Connecticut school shooting victims Wednesday after the Senate voted down a measure designed to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and declared it a "pretty shameful day for Washington."

He said a minority of senators decided "it wasn't worth it" to protect the nation's children.

The Senate, which is controlled by the president's own party, handed him a stinging first defeat for his second term by voting down a bipartisan compromise to expand background checks for gun buyers.

“O” asked Liberal Congressmen to gamble their careers for him and they weren’t having it!

Does he realize the world is watching? It sounds like a fight at the kitchen table.

If the goal is to protect kids, then let’s start with backyard swimming pools, small toys with removable parts, the dreaded automobile, medical malpractice, and stupid parents, each of which kill far more kids each year than firearms.

I love it when he has one of his hissy fits because then the mask comes off, he is an adolescent in a big person body.
Where is the compromise Mr. IWON? There is none. Sorry, you raised on your kings full into someone with aces full and got beat down. So, he slams the cards against the wall, throws his chips across the table but like some tin horn card player of days of yore is probably reaching under the table for his six shooter or knife all the while saying the other guy out cheated him. This is when he is most dangerous because he is blinded by rage and will reach out to vanquish those who won. First off, he will have Dingy Harry end run any of the dem senators who put their personal agenda’s over the IWON’s. He will continue to castigate the GOP across the board, even those panty waisters who voted with him on this one. Hopefully he will make enough enemies to cut his nose off to spite his face.

And the writer who typed this drivel must have had a tear-stained keyboard.

"a measure to keep guns out of the hands of criminals" B-fricking-S.

Crazies, illegal immigrants, and Muzzies running around committing all manner of mayhem who have their rights protected by PC and all the Dems can do is dream up ways to take rights away from rational, law-abiding, legal citizens.

Tear-stained parents?!? Good grief!

Hey Odumbo, that gun control thing has really worked well in your hometown of Chicago hasn’t it. Why don’t you go back there and walk the streets since their strict gun control has been so effective. HA! All they have done there has been to take away the right of law abiding citizens to protect themselves. Oh sorry, I forgot, the police will protect the people!

The next SOTU address is nearly a year away. The Supreme Court got berated for going against the won. I wonder if he will dare to berate the Senate (and the American people) at the next SOTU. What an @$$.

With some carefully chosen Amendment repeals, too!

Pretty much everything we have done to the Constitution has been a blunder or a cluster-f*ck.

OK, we can keep women suffrage.

Didn’t a mother recently protect her children from an armed intruder by shooting him with a GUN?

If this had anything to do with protecting children, outdoor swimming pools would be banned immediately.

Major victory for the majority of Americans who believed this overreaching bill would have accomplished nothing to prevent Newtown.

Does Obama keep those parents in a White House closet where he can bring them out every time he wants to push his gun grabbing agenda?

Obama=Bloviating nitwit.

Remember, when informed of the boston bombing, Barky was conducting a teleconference about gun control. This was at the top of his agenda and he was applying maximum pressure on those who may vote against him. One of the people on the line I am sure was Dingy Harry as they spoke of how to push it through. Plus they had all the Bloomberg money to help and probably doomberg was on the line with them all set with a cresendo of favorable media coverage to apply maximum pressure. The bombing may have taken some of the wind out of his sails and the info coming forth about the immigration bill did not aid his eminence’s proposal either even with him putting his personal imperator on it. He did get a majority of the votes needed but could not get enough to bring it to the floor and that must have really erked him. Let’s see, Collins, McLame, and two other turncoats voted with him so they must face the wrath of us who wish them be gone.

Obama exploited the Newtown shootings and the victims for political reasons from the start. “Never let a good crisis go to waste”. He never cared about the dead children and teachers or their families. But he paraded them in front of the TV cameras and used them as props to gain his own political goals, to demonize and publicly shame the GOP for not voting for a bill that would have done nothing to prevent the Sandy Hook deaths anyway and he knew it. Obama’s goal all along was not to pass this gun control bill because it didn’t have a chance in passing from the beginning. His goal was to use it to demonize the GOP and call them names and “liars” and kid killers, so people would vote them out in the 2014 election. He is not a leader. He is a shameless, narcissistic political schemer.

just flicking through channels and MSLSD used to be known as MSNBC was ignoring the blast in TX , nope they were talking about gun control and calling those who voted against back ground checks cowards and liars and the NRA are liars and they will be defeated, they then went on to immigration.

I take it MSLSD looks at TX as nothing and just a southern hilly billy red state.
