Okay Boston, grab your scissors and whistles, you are under assault.

Good day and good luck.

As I watch this scene in MA, I am appalled at the helter-skelter procedures I am seeing.

I know what you mean. Has everyone forgotten to call in Jack Bauer? /s

I’m okay with the shelter in place but its not sustainable.

Agree.

I can understand the police wanting to keep traffic (both foot and vehicle) to a minimum so as to (hopefully) avoid citizen injuries if there is another shoot out, or if there are more explosives tossed by the remaining terrorist.

But people have lives they have to live - food to buy, kids to take to the doctor, jobs to get to. They won't stay locked in for long.

Should have sided with Russia against the Chechens.

People of Boston, Watertown, et.al,

NOW, as you huddle in your closets, hoping that the terrorist doesn’t choose your house in which to make his final stand, do you still believe that nobody needs a gun with a “high capacity” magazine?

Good luck. It’s all you have standing between you and harm at this point.

Thoughts:

Any citizen with a gun & TV in the Watertown area are probably locked & loaded.

Door-to-door searches could turn up more than just the terrorist. Police have more to worry about than just one man. Criminals & illegals in the area must be terrified. Good.

Dzhokhkar has a BIG problem. He picture is everywhere. If you look anything like him, you have a problem, too.

Betcha there are lots of Bostonians wishing they had guns.

The irony is that the chase has passed through the most liberal, moonbat, anti-gun, coexisting, diversity-celebrating, towns of Massachusetts, Cambridge, Allson/Brighton, Newton and Watertown.

Hide in the closet like good liberals while the bad guys who easily got all kinds of weapons despite all the gun laws go on a rampage killing at will. Gee don’t you feel safe in a gun free zone?

BTW, are these Chechen practitioners of the ROP?

Yes. Self-identified Mohammedan on his own Facebook page. I don't know if it's suspect 1 or 2.

If they want you to stay in your house they should just say “stay in your house”.

Someone out there may not understand a hazy euphemism like “shelter in place” and the result will be somebody getting killed.

I think it's a strong suggestion, but not an official order.

It's the attitude that bothers me. "We've disarmed you, but, we wish you the best. And don't forget to lock your doors!"

The accompanying article say, "people go across borders and buy guns and bring them into our state,” rationalizes Boston Mayor Tom Menino. “Guns have no borders.”

I need help with this one. How can you buy a firearm in another state without a valid drivers license in the state where the purchase occurs? Even at gun shows in another state of your residence you cannot buy a fire arm. Am I wrong on this one?

I'm hoping. I expect a lot of gun license applications in the next few days. Out-of-staters don't realize it, but individual police chiefs in MA have the authority to make it extremely difficult to get one. In many localities chiefs from surrounding towns have agreed to a no-licensing policy.

All unofficially, of course.

When Obama was elected my husband insisted I learn how to shoot a gun and get my concealed carry permit. I am VERY thankful he did!

But at moments like these, I miss my beautiful Rottweiler the most. She was SO protective that if one of these nuts came to the door and she sensed I was in danger, her first instinct would be to “kill first, ask questions later.”

My dog now is a noisy, adorable, useless terrier.

LOL, our Westie would handle them.

My wife said this morning it’s a good thing we’re protected and this town lock down is a huge boost to personal ownership of guns.

Baddog 219, you’ve nailed it. When do we:

1) Start deporting all of these creatures, just to be on the safe side, and

2) seal off our borders as humanly possible?

Will this blue state wake up? Sadly, don’t count on it. There are many thousands of kool-aid saturated, stone minded libs here that you just can’t reach.

My ways would be decidedly draconian and I would have a lot to answer for once I met my Maker, but what is the price to keep innocents safe?

I drove up the street by the house where Martin Richard lived last night. It looked like an empty, sad place. How many similar homes will result from our lack of resolve?
