Chechen Terrorists Probed (border problems from 2004)
The Washington Times ^ | October 13 2004

Posted on 04/19/2013 7:32:57 AM PDT by abishai

U.S. security officials are investigating a recent intelligence report that a group of 25 Chechen terrorists illegally entered the United States from Mexico in July.

The Chechen group is suspected of having links to Islamist terrorists seeking to separate the southern enclave of Chechnya from Russia, according to officials familiar with intelligence reports.

Members of the group, said to be wearing backpacks, secretly traveled to northern Mexico and crossed into a mountainous part of Arizona that is difficult for U.S. border security agents to monitor, said officials speaking on the condition of anonymity.

The intelligence report was supplied to the U.S. government in late August or early September and was based on information from an intelligence source that has been proved reliable in other instances, one official said.

A second U.S. official said the report is being investigated, but said it could not be determined whether the group of Chechens actually entered the country, as the intelligence source reported.

“We don’t know whether or not that report is true,” this official said....

It could not be learned whether the reported infiltration is related to the recent Education Department warning to school officials to examine security in the aftermath of the attack last month by pro-Chechnya Muslim terrorists on a school in Russia, in which more than 300 people were killed and some 700 wounded.

In the Russian attack, heavily armed Islamists took over and wired with explosives the school building in Beslan, North Ossetia. It is believed that an accidental explosion set off a battle between Russian security personnel and the terrorists, who set off several explosions and shot schoolchildren and teachers as they tried to escape....

I immediately thought of this story when I heard the suspects were Chechens. The thirst for votes and cheap labor from illegal immigrants by BOTH parties has put this country and its citizens in grave danger.

Exactly, this is why illegal immigration is BAD.
And exactly why both parties are -and exactly guilty of- treason.

George Clooney made a cheesy movie a few years back called “The Peacemaker” where a Chechen did just that. He backpacked across a rugged frontier carry nuclear bomb parts that he then smuggled into the US.

Our government has basically dropped our pants and bent over allowing anyone to just walk in the front door all in the attempt to secure votes and cheap labor.

Hey, that was in 2004 ... why, if those terrorists have lived in this country for almost a decade and have not caused any problems there should be no problem in granting them citizenship.

There are eerie similarities to FX's The Americans, a story of Russian spies infiltrated into US society in the 1980s.

Sorry to inundate multiple threads with the same post, but I think this bears repeating and should be broadcast from one end of the U.S. to the other:

One of the dirty secrets of this whole situation that may or may not come out of these media reports is that the U.S. has been an active partner with Chechen separatists in Russia over the years. Do a search on the interesting history of a group called the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). They were established in Washington D.C. in 1999 but changed their name to the American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus in 2004 after the Beslan massacre in Russia. Their board of directors is filled with many of the same neo-con @ssholes from the Bush administration who were supposedly leading the U.S. "war on terror" back then.

And just in case anyone has any doubts about where the priorities of these @ssholes lie, just keep in mind that many of them were clamoring for the Clinton administration to launch military action against Serbia to help protect Islamic radicals in Kosovo, too.

If anyone out there still trusts his/her own government, you're deluded.

What I don’t get is how one of these clowns qualified for and GOT an educational grant without proper ID.

If they came here illegally or are posing as legals with false documents, why couldn’t the ‘system’ properly challenge this before handing over the money?

Hmm, this was about 10 years ago, right after the Beslan massacres. The brothers have been here for about ten years, with their parents who recently moved back to Russia. You don’t suppose that this family was somehow involved in the Checnyan massacre and is in hiding here? Not hiding well.... I love it that the one brother RAN OVER the other one last night. Such a glorious martyrdom/ not.

These were "legal" immigrants, or at least that's the rumor. None of which gives me us much comfort since the distinction between documented and undocumented was so "out of fashion" before this past Monday.

Interesting how the U.S. low to no information voter is getting to know about yet another unfamiliar nation, so to speak, at the antipodes.

Chechnyans were among the foreign combatants our soldiers have been contending with in Afghanistan and, before that, Iraq.

The Iranian connection is interesting, also.

Because they are here ‘LEGALLY’.They are here on VISAS, like this amnesty will issue MILLIONS of. The feds don’t vet anyone now and they won’t with another amnesty. Once they lost 100,000 applications, so they just issued them visas anyway.

CUTLER: But it`s not even just the border. Look, last year U.S. CIS, the division of DHS that gives out citizenship and immigration benefits, claimed that they lost — are you ready for this — 111,000 immigration files and then went ahead and naturalized 30,000 aliens without their files.[snip]
http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/search?q=lost+files

AND THAT is how we wind up with terrorists!

OK, 25 terrorists.

We got TWO.

That means that we could have pairs of terrorists in 9 major US cities right now waiting to attack.

I’m not sure these were the same that crossed the border. May be connected may not be. News is that they were here legally. How many are here illegally and unknown is a bigger problem

An uncle on TV said the family came here as refugees. This would have been done through the State Dept and USAID. Chechnyans were displaced for a time in Russia, and many countries took them in. From what I can see, State Dept. doesn’t vet anyone for ‘asylum’ purposes. Chechnyns are terrorists by definition...even Russia didn’t want them.

The mother is a criminal, the father went back to his ‘home’ in Russia.....ungrateful bunch of ‘refugees’, if you ask me! It becoming pretty apparent they hated the USA.
AND THAT is what we get for babysitting the world and taking in their criminals!

[snip]A small, but growing Chechen community exists in the United States, in particular in Los Angeles and throughout California. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chechen_refugees

I believe NOTHING the Obama govt says. They will say anything to whitewash the bombings---to get immigration reform rammed down our throats. The bombers look--- and act--- like savage Mexican drug lords---flexing their muscles---taking over the US---to facilitate reform (to drive the reconqista engine.) I harken back to this....read on.

=========================================

Death and destruction in Texas follow on the heels of Boston violence just as "reform" rears its ugly head: time to connect the dots: Viscious Mexican gangs and savage drug cartels are operating freely across the border in Austin---the Texas state capital---right under the noses of Texas politicians.

EDITED Zeta hit man details killings on both sides of border mySA.com | January 24, 2012 | Jason Buch / FR Posted by SwinneySwitch

LAREDO, TEXAS — A hit man for the Zetas Mexican drug cartel calmly related to jurors in a drug conspiracy trial---to his role as a hired killer. In US District Court. Rosalio Reta pointed to Gerardo Castillo Chavez, 25, and identified him as a fellow Zeta. Reta, 22, told jurors that he had been in a team of hit men headed by Gabriel Cardona, an admitted Zeta, who has pleaded guilty to five murders that occurred in Texas 2005-06. Reta said he was the triggerman in the murder of Moises Garcia, a Mexican Mafia prison gang member, in Dec 2005.

Reta, a US citizen, received national media attention after the teenager was deported from Mexico in 2006 at age 17. He's known for his distinctive facial tattoos and boasts that he became a killer when he was 13 years old. Prosecutors say Castillo Chavez was also a sicario, or hit man, in a crew that worked with Cardona's group, gunning down two people at a busy Laredo, Texas intersection in April 2006. He faces up to life in prison if convicted on firearms and racketeering charges and wide-ranging drug conspiracy charges; prosecutors presented evidence of a decade's worth of Zeta operations in Texas.

Us citizenn Reta said that he fled to Mexico after two murders in Texas, for which he's now serving 70 years in prison, and worked with Castillo Chavez.” In May 2006, Reta testified, a team of killers was dispatched to El Punto Vivo, a nightclub in a suburb of Monterrey, Mexico. “Hitmen Chema and Chavezs went into the bar,” Reta said. “They shot, they threw some grenades and they killed four people.” Afterward, the hit squad went to a convenience store for snacks and drinks. Prosecutors played security video showing Reta and three others making purchases.

Jurors also heard Laredo police detective Robert Garcia testify that he linked the sicarios using phone records. The big break came when an insider---a DEA informant---was tasked by the Zetas with renting a safe house for Cardona's crew. Garcia said he worked with the feds to thwart the Zetas' attempted hits and to gather evidence.

Defense attorneys questioned Reta as to why someone who had shown great care to hideout after killings in the U.S. would so brazenly hang out at a convenience store, even microwave popcorn, after committing a high-profile killing in Mexico. “In Mexico, the cartels run everything,” Reta replied. “So it doesn't matter if you get caught on video. We are the law over there.

Rosalio Reta.

NY POST REPORT---Mexican cartels deep inside US - spreading into non-border states

CHICAGO (AP) — Mexican drug cartels, whose viscious operatives once rarely ventured beyond the US border, are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States — the cartels' move into the American interior could pave the way for the hardened criminals to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping-and-extortion rackets and money laundering.

In Mexico, the cartels are known for a staggering number of killings — more than 50,000, according to one tally. Beheadings are the savages' signature message.....the Texas Department of Public Safety reported 22 killings and five kidnappings in Texas at the hands of Mexican cartels from 2010 through mid- 2011......US police worry that increased cartel activity could fuel heightened violence.--SNIP--

In Chicago, the police commander who oversees narcotics investigations, James O'Grady, said street-gang account for most of the city's uptick in murders, when slayings topped 500 in 2012 for the first time since 2008. Riley argues that the Mexican cartels should be seen as an underlying cause of Chicago's disturbingly high murder rate. (NY POST EXCERPT)

And this:

Supposedly the bulk of border-crossers are Mexican----but we know Mexico is the staging area for all of the Third World freeloaders---that includes global terrorists bent on destroying America.

Terrorists from Mideast countries are entering the US from Mexico......their swarthiness gives them a pass to masquerade as Mexican illegals

The Mexican border has become the staging area for (1) global terrorists (swarthy Mideasterners who pass for Mexicans), (2) the criminal latino uderworld, (3) Third World lowlifes, (4) drug cartels, (5) impoverished latinos hoping to win the "border lottery" in the US and the like.

And US politicans are looking the other way. The word is out---"come to Mexico to infiltrate the US. It's open season to conduct your dirty deeds."

The only way to secure the border is boots on the ground. Nothing less.

We can use the regular Army, the various National Guards (if the feds will let them go) or the MILITIA.

Article I Section 8 allows Congress to call forth the militia “to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.”

The REGULAR militia is now the National Guard but the IRREGULAR militia is every able-bodied citizen 18 to 45 (please correct me if I’m wrong here).

Wouldn’t it be sweet to see the governor of Arizona call for volunteers to seal the border? Any over-under bets on how many volunteers would show up?
