An interesting article on the school the 2nd bomber attended. It was redone as a “heterogeneous classrooms”. All students regardless of level, recieve the same instruction. Guy pictured in article appears to be the neighbor (and a teacher/proponent) of the brothers. This article toughts diversity but is littered with, “white, white, white” identification and dismissive of parents worried about their upper level children not being challenged. ...”Heterogeneous classes are a favorite of education reformers at the vaunted Annenberg Institute for School Reform....” (Annenberg? sound familiar?) (2003 article, but interesting since the younger brother attended)

The poor child was very close to the bomb.

Something reeks to high heaven here. He and anyone that close to a real bomb should have simply vanished.

Look at the bomb debris photos:

Didn’t even scorch the paint on the battery.

Didn’t even break the circuit board.

Didn’t even stipple the inside of the pressure cooker with imprints of the shrapnel.

This is a bomb that was designed to inflict minimal casualties or dud entirely.

The other bomb apparently didn’t even injure anyone.

Pure theater.

I wonder what became of the three young women shown. If they decided to move to a different location, it was the best decision of their lives.

The two kids had just moved to this spot, so it would make sense that they would have stayed there, unfortunately.

Well I see that you have heeded mac daddies advise and not referred to him as a terrorist, he is just a misguided youth just looking for someone to give him a hug.

But on the other hand he is a terrorist and hopefully will soon be a dead terrorist who will not be needing a hug from anyone except the 72 virgins.

[...talking about the 19 year old was disgusting.]

I believe the media depiction of this ‘poor boy, is going to come in handy when obama finally addresses this tragedy.

Ie: ...’this is perfect example of how the ‘extremist element’ of Islam can turn a young boy, like this, into a murderer for their agenda. Islam is a ‘peaceful’ religion and should not be viewed, as a whole, like the young men who committed this horrendous event’.

He might, out of desperation, even have a Mullah from a mosque available to FINALLY come forward to denounce the acts of these ‘young men’ who have been ‘brainwashed’ by radicals into acts of violence.

Brain injury, horribly disfigured - two terms I have heard on the radio.

Yesterday a firefighter was talking about finding the boy as I was driving to work. He found Martin and covered him. Said he picked up the sister, ran to a very full ambulance and asked for room. They did not have room. He told them she may not make it so one of the EMTs took her on his lap. I arrived at work in tears.

What, are you now a bomb expert, along with being an expert in Muslim bombing motivations?

Not all bombs are C4. These sorts of IED-style bombs are designed to be cheap; portable; easily concealed; use easily obtainable ingredients/parts; and injure/maim a large number of people, not necessarily “vanish” people.

Just because it doesn’t make sense to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense to others, and cannot be as it appears...

The “pure theater” remark is unconscionable and unforgiveable, coming from an unaffected, arm-chair expert.

You misunderstand my point.

In a legitimate terrorist attack, one by determined and skilled terrorists, this would have been an event with scores, perhaps hundreds, of fatalities.

That same day 27 were killed by a single bomb in a Baghdad cafe.

That's more in keeping with a genuine terrorist attack.

The Boston bombs were so grossly underpowered they could not have been made in in any serious attempt to create mass casualties. Either they were part of a deliberate political Kabuki theater attack to muscle congress into buckling under and voting for gun confiscation, or the bombers were provided with fake high explosives as part of a failed sting.

Look at the photos! There is an unbroken picture window withing a matter of feet of the bomb!

This was filmed very close to the center of the "blast", through unbroken windows:

Some windows out, some intact:

There shouldn't be an intact window within a block!

No, I would have to tell him, if he doesn't already know, that his son was murdered and his wife and daughter were maimed as part of nothing more than political theater.

Whose theater?

I don't "know" but I do know who delivered a flat affect 3 minute insipid statement on the bombing. I do know who tried to make political capital blaming his opponents' sequester, and I do know who didn't get really angry and passionate until the last act of the play, the overwhelming passage of gun confiscation on a tide of emotional reactions to the Boston Marathon massacre, failed. That rated a pull out all the stops and employ all the props 13 minute long rant.

This is a bomb that was designed to inflict minimal casualties or dud entirely.

I doubt that was the intent. If it didn't work as they hoped it's because they weren't very skilled bomb makers. (thank God!)

The other bomb apparently didn’t even injure anyone.

Apparently you haven't been paying attention to the reports of "shrapnel" type injuries occurring at both bomb sites.

I would very much like to think they were simply incompetent.

I worry that they were patsies in an FBI/BATFE sting gone wrong. They wouldn't be the first dupes given fake explosives and egged on into planting a dud to give the agencies another notch on their anti-terrorist trophy.

But what I fear is that the attack was a deliberate act designed by the left (pick an actor for this role) to force congress' hand into disarming patriotic Americans.

Who on the left would you put above sacrificing a few children for the Greater Goal of a totalitarian communist America?

Bill we're-going-to-kill-25-million-Americans Ayres? Barack vote-against-the-born-alive-act Obama? George turn-in-your-neighbor-and-steal-his-stuff Soros?

Apparently you haven't been paying attention to the reports of "shrapnel" type injuries occurring at both bomb sites.

I haven't seen much coverage of them that wasn't mushed together with the main event. You have, thanks for that info, it weakens my argument.

That's good. I really don't want to be correct on my darkest surmise.
