The NRA did a great job of informing members of the latest info on the gun grab and sent e-mails daily (often two or more per day) advising members to call their representatives and let them know how they felt.

I think one main reason why M-T failed, why the Dems and Obama lost on this, and why the NRA was so successful gaining so many new members is simple and perhaps overlooked. Even if I choose not to exercise my Second Amendment Rights, people realise that if the government can take away my Second Amendment right they can take any of my rights away. Next would be my First Amendment rights, probably disguised as legislative protection against "Hate Speech."
