Leaders say they fear reprisals against their communities
"These are acts of crime, not acts of religion," Benjamin Abdul-Haqq, an imam at Masjid Muhammad mosque in Washington, told the news conference.
Corey Saylor, legislative director for CAIR, said the group feared reprisals.
"We're very concerned, because in past instances some individuals have decided to go out and target further innocent people because they look different or belong to a faith that is a minority," Saylor said.

Here we go again, indeed. They condemn it and IMMEDIATELY start talking about how they are the victims. Waahh. Well, I’m here to say - I personally DO hold it against Muslims. Lots of Germans were good people but intimidated. Nevertheless, the Germans were, collectively, the Bad Guys during WWII.

Islam is akin to a cancer on civilization.
An individual cancer cell is almost identical, genetically, to the cells of the host organism. BUT, it acts very differently, running amok, multiplying like crazy, invading, usurping and destroying every aspect of its host, until it has destroyed it.
Not every individual cancer cell is busy doing this all the time, but they all will if the host’s defenses are insufficient, and the cancer cells often quickly reproduce or in other ways overwhelm those defenses.
The old medical adage is appropriate: drastic illnesses require drastic cures. The same cures that work for cancer - radiation, poisons and surgery - would work for Islam, and the goal would be the same: the eradication of every last trace of the cancer. Anything more timid, kinder and gentler, is merely wishful thinking, and we know the cancer will come back.
The only real question remaining is whether our patient will be bright enough and brave enough to undergo the treatment before there is irreparable damage, disability, or death.
And it’s not a Religion...It’s a form of government.
