I don't get these jerks who want to reward illegal behavior. I just don't get it.
Why would we know?
Why would we care?
Its only gringos who think...
So, are you La Raza or some other kind of racist?
(Pssst...I think most of us know about the Cubans.)
Ditch the “tossed salad” and let’s get back to being a “melting pot.”
Marco Rubio being the overly ambitious little politician he is thought he could jump on the immigration bandwagon and ride it into the Whitehouse in 2016.
He has miscalculated and now the Dems are playing him like a violin and he is wedded to his Gang of 8. Its likely the end of his career.
“If two people in business (or any other thing) always agree, one of them is unnecessary.” (William Wrigley Jr.)
(He actually said two men, not two people.)
I don’t get how Rubio thinks joining or forming a “Gang” and aligning himself with with the the likes of John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Schumer, and Barack Obama and most Democrats is going to turn out good for him. Common sense should tell any truly conservative Republican he is on the wrong side of an issue just by the character of the people he is allied with and by the people who are disgusted with him and let down by him. I wish Mark Levin and Rush would put that fact to him a little more directly.
Me neither - Adios, Rubio. Take Jeb Bush with ya.
“Not if it’s digital! It has only one time 12:00 blink, blink, blink.”
12:00 is still right, twice per day. If you’re not using a 24-hour military time clock.
Terrorists from Mideast countries are entering the US from Mexico......their swarthiness gives them a pass to masquerade as Mexican illegals
The Mexican border has become the staging area for (1) global terrorists (swarthy Mideasterners who pass for Mexicans), (2) the criminal latino uderworld, (3) Third World lowlifes, (4) drug cartels, (5) impoverished latinos hoping to win the "border lottery" in the US and the like.
And US politicans are looking the other way. The word is out---"come to Mexico to infiltrate the US. It's open season to conduct your dirty deeds."
As FReeper sick of libs insightfully posted: Rubio's new reform pkg "says" there'll be at least a 10 year wait BUT the wait for US citizenship will be s-o-o-o long that illegals who apply will wish they had NEVER left their comfy Third World homelands.
SUMMING UP Rubio's plan will make them sorry they came here. Plus they will get zero benefits for those l-o-n-g 10-15 years. Plus Schumer and Durbin and Obama agree with all this.....b/c Rubio is such a tough negotiator, he has them eating out of his hand.....(alarm bells ringing)...
=============================================== CONCLUSION-- (Sniffle) AT ALL TIMES, the Gang of Eight was guided by sacrosanct founding principles----government of the people, by the people, and for the people (sob)...... The "people"---that's us.
Yeah I’m sick of Ann, too - sucking up to Christie is but one of her flaws. Rubio can take a hike, too.
NY POST EXCERPT--- Mexican cartels dispatch agents deep inside US - spread into non-border states
CHICAGO (AP) Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the US border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world's most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits. If left unchecked, authorities say, the cartels' move into the American interior could render the syndicates harder than ever to dislodge and pave the way for them to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping-and-extortion rackets and money laundering.
Some cartels even have Mexican operatives fill out job applications before being dispatched to the US, Riley added.
In Mexico, the cartels are known for a staggering number of killings more than 50,000, according to one tally. Beheadings are sometimes a signature. So far, cartels don't appear to be directly responsible for large numbers of slayings in the United States, though the Texas Department of Public Safety reported 22 killings and five kidnappings in Texas at the hands of Mexican cartels from 2010 through mid- 2011. Still, police worry that increased cartel activity could fuel heightened violence.--SNIP--
In Chicago, the police commander who oversees narcotics investigations, James O'Grady, said street-gang disputes over turf account for most of the city's uptick in murders last year, when slayings topped 500 for the first time since 2008.
Although the cartels aren't dictating the territorial wars, they are the source of drugs. Riley's assessment is stark: He argues that the cartels should be seen as an underlying cause of Chicago's disturbingly high murder rate. "They are the puppeteers," he said. "Maybe the shooter didn't know and maybe the victim didn't know that. But if you follow it down the line, the cartels are ultimately responsible."
You should care because idiot Republicans keep talking about the Hispanic vote as if it is one undifferentiated mass. And from the postings that I see on FR, no, I don’t think that most get it about the Cubans.
idiot Republicans = RINOs.
“idiot Republicans = RINOs.”
Let us go forth and createth a new phrase:
iRINO’s - idiot RINO’s (redundant, I know)
“idiot Republicans = RINOs.
Let us go forth and createth a new phrase:
iRINOs - idiot RINOs (redundant, I know)”
I think TURD BLOSSOM Republicans is more appropriate.
“Rush totally skewered him”
I listened to it and thought just the opposite. Rush sounded more frustrated in the republican party than he was effective in his criticism of the Gang of 8.
Rubio understands immigration policy. INS needs a major overhaul with its chain immigration policies. Chain (family) immigration was instituted by Edward Kennedy as a way of getting votes for the demorat party. It is working better than he ever imagined.
Rubio wants us to give preference to businessmen, scientists, etc. - people who will contribute to entrepreneurism not welfare rolls.
I don’t believe you have to pass an amnesty bill to reform INS, but Rubio was very effective and knowledgeable in his interview with Rush.
Rush has been harping on the fact that only 4% of the public gives a whit about immigration and gun control. He didn’t present that fact to Rubio.
No, I have seen many on FR posting about how Rubio could get the Hispanic vote.
I credit Rubio for trying to change INS policy. All we are doing now is allowing in folks that immediately apply for welfare - chain immigration.
The demorats are not going to change an INS policy that benefits them.
Rubio knows how Congress works. He has to ‘give’ something to get a change in INS policy and secured borders. Rubio expertly explained how if the federal gov’t. cannot secure the borders the governors will be given that authority in 5 years.
If the ‘illegals’ truly have to go to the back of the line, the amnesty ( which currently exists ) is worth the cost if INS is reformed and the flow of welfare recipients is replaced with a better educated class of entrepreneurial workers.
It is impossible to send the illegals back. As Rubio said, amnesty currently exists and is administration policy. The focus should be on secured borders and stemming the flow of immigrants that immediately apply for welfare and vote demorat or else this country is finished with the present chain immigration policies.
Rubio is not naive. As Speaker of the House of Florida, he constantly blocked legislation to curtail illegal immigration. He knows exactly what he is doing. The PTB thought a pretty face would fool the people. Apparently it fooled enough in Florida to get him elected.
Interestingly, TracFone, a company that will likely benefit from this type of government program, is based in Rubios Miami, Florida.
Apparently he's not too bright.
Instead of acting as a prominent, in-your-face pusher of this traitorous legislation, he could have sat back and let others take the heat, and perhaps been able to bamboozle his (former) Tea Party supporters into believing he was an impartial negotiator out to get conservatives the best possible deal.
He's dreaming if he thinks he'll hold onto conservative support after betraying conservatives on such a core issue.
Well, unless we know for a fact that every single "hispanic" absolutely hates the man...
I suppose that if he addressed them in the right style of Spanish, talked to the hardworking Catholic/Evangelical people who have nothing in common with the baby-killing, packer/muncher welfare RAT types...maybe he could divide that so-called demographic, and pull a portion of them into the R column.
Has it been tried before?
I take it you didnt notice that Rush declare he thought Rubio was a true conservative, at the end of his show.
Rush left him undamaged even tho he did not like his bill.
Put trained up snipers at the border and very publicly spend a week or two firing on all alien trespassers. It will stop in short order. A dozen body bags is about what it would take to fully stop decades of this insanity.
Repatriation of Illegals:
Again, a few no-nonsense raids of enclaves of illegals, at workplaces or hangouts, or on known multi-family households, a dozen or so heads kicked in, maybe a few killed trying to resist, and millions would start running for the border or lining up voluntarily to leave.
I don’t know if Rush has lost heart or what, but it seems like he’s been mailing it in. Hard to blame him. But we have to keep fighting.
How much per head is their bounty?
Just as I was saying, you don’t get it. At all. You seem unable to grasp the premise - Spanish speakers are not an undifferentiated mass, and mere language does not override cultural, regional, class, racial, ethnic and political differences. Mexicans living in the US are not fooled or swayed by an adopted accent or borrowed colloquialisms. Their rechaso re Rubio comes from what he is - a white Cuban not on board with the Castro regime. The Catholic Mexicans and Central Americans living here vote Dem. There are many reasons why. Learn about them before you opine.
I to disagree with what they're doing, but throwing the word traidors around this kind of harsh. They are in fact doing exactly what the Constitution gives them the power to do. (U.S. Constitution - Article 1 Section 8....To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization,.....) Rino's YES, Ass wipes YES, Traitors NO. IMHO
This group would likely speak English. No need to kowtow in espanol.
I think Rush was being polite. Rubio is teamed up with John McCain, Chuck Schumer, and Lindsey Graham to push through legislation that Obama and the Democrats want and that will benefit the Democrat party and destroy the Republican party. A true conservative would not be for that.
Well it would be a dam-site more effective than trying to address them in Yiddish.
Look, if they are Catholic and vote RAT and can’t be swayed, I don’t give a damn about them, nor would I waste time trying to understand them. ANY Catholic that votes RAT, is either a phony or a retard.
If they are illegal they need to be rounded up.
How’s that for opining?
We are at war. Harboring the enemy is treason. Aiding and abetting the enemy is treason.
Willful failure to secure the nation during war time is treason.
Okey, the Contitution must have a typo.
Will Rubio change parties? It is too easy to imagine the tear-filled “My heart told me I just couldn’t stay with those immigrant-hating Republicans” speech, that never mentions all the legal immigrants who played by the rules.
"The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place."
“Rubiods” (Rubio Supporters)
“Rubed” (When Marco is rude)
“Ruboid” (Someone who sounds/acts like Rubio)
ARTICLE III, SECTION 3, CLAUSE 1
Next line reads: The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason,
I don't really believe, and I doubt you do either, that using a Constitutional power given them by one Article of the Constitution makes them in violation of another Article.
You might have a hard time convincing a court that we are in a declared war against those effected by this legislation.
Your position was that I was misusing the word “treason” and or that aiding and abetting the enemy is not. It is. And they are traitors. And, yes, the nation is at war.
We are not at war with undocumented democrats, they are law breakers and should be prosecuted, but not enemy warriors.
Does the congress have the obligation to protect the borders, YES, but they also have the obligation to protect our currency, our trade, and our legal system, all of which they have failed to do.
We are at war with Islamic terrorists and the nations that harbor them. It is absolutely essential that a nation secures its borders during war time. That war is already spilling over into our streets!!
Not very good. You need to have a more informed perspective, because now you just seem to be having a tantrum.
About what I expected.
You’re indicating it can’t be changed, and that I’m stupid. Not only do I not know...I also don’t care. I doubt that “hispanics” crack 1/10th percent of the Maine population.
But if somebody is willing to try something that hasn’t been attempted before, I’d say more power to him. Why would I crap all over the effort?
They seem to forget that part about guaranteeing each state the freedom from invasion.
They are given the power to make immigration laws, fact. Exercising that power is not treason. To throw terms like treason around loosely will water down the term when it is real and needed. Cry wolf enough and no one will pay attention to you.
