The FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers.
Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack.
More than 1,000 FBI agents were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.
A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.
“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”

Thanks. There have been so many wrinkles in the story that it’s been hard to keep up. When I went to work yesterday they had #2 on the ground with robots checking him for explosives, and when I got back from work they had #2 in a boat. Took a bit to figure out what all I had missed - including that the guy they had on the ground was just an innocent bystander.
I’m hoping there are people in the FBI rebelling against Holder - and will force there to be a REAL investigation. Somebody commented on it seeming like this is going differently than how the FBI dealt with both Fast & Furious and Benghazi. I sure hope so. Somebody going to Congress members and giving them the real scoop on the Saudi guy before Obama’s lawless regime could scrub everything gives me hope.

That would be an important part of any investigation. If anything already came out about it, the investigators wouldn’t like that. They’re trying to build a legal case.
They didn't kill the guy because he was a Muslim. Or at lease I saw one report that showed the guy's name to be Arab.
Oh yes, many of us have been saying this for years. We will see Boston in every street in America if we let these bozos keep the border open and make it even easier to come here and become citizens here.

Yes, but we don’t even have anything as simple as how the parents earned a living, or if the two sons held any sort of job. Nothing that I’ve heard about their basic financial condition that is usually pretty quickly determined in any investigation.

I know all that but it just seems like they thought they weren’t going to be caught. I haven’t heard what the older brother was doing in the couple of days that passed after the bombing. Did he have a job or what? Or was he just hanging out out his local radical mosque?

These guys were untrained amateurs. The 9/11 guys were trained. The Beirut Marine barracks truck bomber was trained. The Beslan attackers were trained. These guys had no backup plan and killed 3 people.
