Inquiry Shifts to Suspectís Russian Trip [FBI never followed up on Tamerlan once he returned ]
NYTimes ^ | April 20 2013

With one suspect dead and the other captured and lying grievously wounded in a hospital, the investigation into the Boston Marathon bombings turned on Saturday to questions about the men’s motives, and to the significance of an overseas trip one of them took last year.

Federal investigators are hurrying to review a visit that one of the suspected bombers made to Chechnya and Dagestan, predominantly Muslim republics in the north Caucasus region of Russia. Both have active militant separatist movements. Members of Congress expressed concern about the F.B.I.’s handling of a request from Russia before the trip to examine the man’s possible links to extremist groups in the region.

The significance of the trip was magnified late Friday when the F.B.I. disclosed in a statement that in 2011 “a foreign government” — now acknowledged by officials to be Russia — asked for information about Tamerlan.

But the F.B.I. never followed up on Tamerlan once he returned, a senior law enforcement official acknowledged on Saturday, adding that its investigation did not turn up anything and it did not have the legal authority to keep tabs on him. Investigators are now scrambling to review that trip, and learn about any extremists who might have influenced, trained or directed Tamerlan while he was there.

The FBI might have been too busy helping them be better bombers.

The F, the B, and the I were busy covering for Eric the Red Holder and his Fast & Furious conspiracy, plus investigating radical militant right wing terrorist Tea Party plots, plus helping the Democratic [sic] party rig the 2012 presidential election, plus... How much time do you think the F, the B, and the I have to waste of trivial stuff?

Can you just imagine the media’s reaction if this had happened under Bush or any other Republican..they would have been calling for his impeachment

In many ways that’s all they can do. Ordinarily they would supply fake explosives, then arrest the perps. I can only guess that Tammy rebuffed their offer, his Chechen and/or Saudi handlers supplied enough, or the feebs didn’t bother attempting that sting. There really is not a lot they can with these terrorists except deport them all.

This is treason by every single RINO and Congressperson
who abdicated to the treason of BenGhazi Hussein Obama.

and peopell ike Steney hoyer owe the right an apology for claimign that the bombing happend because of the sequester- the bombing happened because our governemnt LONG BEFORE the bombing FAILED to take the two maggot bomber’s actions seriously and FAILED to take Russia seriously and FAILED to monitor the older brother after he came back from russia to note that he had IMMEDIATELY put up a website expousing jihad and radial islam- The Gvoenremnt FAILED in it’s duty to protect Aemrica apparently because htey were too busy keepign a close eye on CHristian ministers, old ladies, and young children instead of focussing on KNOWN TERRORIST SYMPATHISERS liek hte two maggots who bombed boston

How could Russia come out of this smelling any better? They tried to warn us, did the right thing, we blew it, and then some innocents paid for it.

This after we consistently criticized Russia for nailing the chechens.

We have to expect this with a government that cares for muslims more than it’s own people. Zero, I’m sure, has had directives sent to the FBI to go easy on his brother mudslimes.

Hopefully their message will continue to spread quickly throughout our military and law enforcement. Everyone needs to understand that they will not be told the complete truth(or any of it), if they are ever used to confiscate guns, or in some other unconstitutional manner. It's not going to be a situation as black and white as some imagine. Most of those involved will believe they are doing the right thing. Otherwise they wouldn't be doing it.

The acceptance of the police state in Boston by many on the right is worrisome. How many Oath Keepers were involved in those actions? What would have happened if someone didn't leave their home, and didn't consent to a warrantless search of their property? It's a horrible precedent to accept regardless of it's intent, but that's exactly what we are doing.

Apparently the FBI and CIA never followed up on John Kerry’s two or three trips to met the enemy No. Vietnamese and Viet Cong in Paris to see if he had given aid and comfort to the enemy.

Or did they? That would be the most prized FBI report in modern history. THe same for any CIA report.

This is what must be explored in Executive Session congressional hearings.

No more coverups. Too many Americans are dying because of our near total intelligence failures from Afghanistan, Iraq to Benghazi, and now Boston, Massachusetts.

Heads must roll until our intelligence agencies (FBI) are back to the much more competent levels of the J. Edgard Hoover years. As for the CIA, it needs a complete overhaul.

With the criminal Brennan running CIA, there won’t be any ‘fumigating’ any time soon. Things are fixin’ to get much worse as factions in the government rip at each other.

But the F.B.I. never followed up on Tamerlan once he returned, a senior law enforcement official acknowledged on Saturday, adding that its investigation did not turn up anything and it did not have the legal authority to keep tabs on him.

Now, if he had done something really radical, like attend a Tea Party rally, well, he'd have a big fat dossier kept.

Gee, that sounds like the same line of reasoning that the Clinton crime family used to excuse their failure to take Bin Laden into custody.

The FBI was way to busy throwing the book at some bumpkins in North Georgia that had a conversation with each other once about possibly fighting the gubmint.
