The Saudi role in the Boston Marathon terror attack
Ha'aretz ^ | 21 April, 2013 | Ksenia Svetlova

The dimensions are somewhat smaller, but the pain, fear, and anger are the same. America has again been caught off guard by foreign terrorists seeking to sow destruction and death.

Almost 12 years have passed since that “great tragedy,” the attacks of September 11, and the United States has yet again experienced a national tragedy. Albeit the dimensions are somewhat smaller, but the pain, fear, and anger are the same. America has again been caught off guard by foreign terrorists seeking to sow destruction and death.

The full piece is behind a pay-wall but Carl in Jerusalem has some important excerpts regarding the spread of Wahabism throughout Chechnya:

"The spread of Wahhabism in Chechnya sparked a great deal of opposition within the local society, the strong ideals of which contradicted the traditional Islam practiced in the area, as well as the way of life in Chechnya and Dagestan. Fierce battles and political conflicts ensued in the 1990s, and continued after the war in Chechnya. The institutionalization of Wahhabism in Chechnya happened not without a significant amount of force, as its supporters fought both the Chechnyans and the Russians. Despite the efforts of current Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov to prevent his capital Grozny from becoming the “Dubai of the Caucasus,” the Wahhabist extremism attracts many youths from Chechnya and Dagestan. Only recently, video clips were published featuring Chechen jihadists that traveled to Syria to fighting against President Bashar Assad’s regime. Kadyrov came out with a statement that “no Chechen is fighting in Syria,” later altering his statement by claiming that those fighting in Syria were mercenaries. The extremist propaganda is functioning as always, and a new generation in Chechnya has grown up with conflict and propaganda. This generation is attracted to the simple ideological base of Wahhabism, and to the murderous romance of the jihad its leaders are calling for. The members of this new generation go to Syria and Iraq. Some of them maybe go to the United States and other places in the world in order to join the “army of believers,” according to them. It is not impossible to rule out that the Saudis who flew planes into the World Trade Center and the brothers from Chechnya who set off bombs at the Boston Marathon subscribed to the same radical Wahhabist ideology. Immediately after reports were published that the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing were of Chechen origin, Kadyrov tweeted that “terror has no nationality.” Currently, his followers in Chechnya and Ingushetia will once again have to “deal with” the Wahhabist problem in Russia’s backyard. The question is if even a leader as powerful as Kadyrov can dismantle the Wahhabist institution fostering in the Caucasus for decades, receiving monetary and ideological support from Riyadh."

Foreigners murdering Americans, only now we have allowed them inside.

We have given them citizenship, scholarships to our schools while our own kids get none and we have welcomed them with open arms, while they work to destroy us.

Give them all a one way ticket back to where they came from.

Our own religious tolerance is working against us with these cultists.

My husband’s Dad just passed away.. he was a WWII hero - radio operator/gunner on B17, shot down on his last mission and interned, but he escaped and met up with the French underground... amazing guy... he was 19 when he was defending our country.

"Energy Independence. Then we can bury the F ing Saudis"

If you watch what Obama does vs. what he says, his every step puts up more obstacles to US energy independence. We elected an anti-Western Marxist as President and until he and the power structure that put him in place are excised from America, we will continue bowing to the Saudis.

Zero didn’t bow to the Saudi king because he thought they were equals....it was a display of obedience and subservience.

His refusal to pursue a US energy policy, one that proclaims our energy independence, has been masked under a green cloak of renewable energy.

The truth has more to do with maintaining the global price of oil to the benefit of Saudi Arabia than it does with developing wind or solar energy which the vast majority of engineers and scientists will tell you is decades away from maturity and commercial feasibility.

The Royal Saudi family sanctioned Wahabism to keep the population in check. Wahabism is mainly used to export the worst jihadis in order to keep things under control at home. Exporting the Wahhabi beliefs is part of the price the Royal family pays for keeping the Kingdom's population under control. Without the Royal family the place would be very much worse off - no matter how bad things are under the Royals today.

However, this whole affair is in the process of being swept under the table with that guy Ben Gazi, so Obizmo can get back to campaigning. Right now, he is being placed in a position to close to governing for comfort.

Research into alternatives can only be a long term goal. We have the resources right under our feet to be energy independent while also letting the free market develop the next silver bullet instead of our tax dollars being used to produce duds that only enrich politicians and their cohorts.

Wake the H up.

That relatively beningn version of the Saudis is something they have worked diligently at.

For example: when the AQ magazine, Tawhid, was first seen it was made on software that runs ONLY on large institutional servers and as expensive as an APC. AQ was *started* by the government.

Anyway, a little chechnya/aq history. THIS is what you’re dealing with, gentlemen:

Especially right now but because they paid for the Manchurian Candidate’s education and he owes them. The majority of politicians seem to be for sale to the highest bidder. Just yesterday I thought about how our founding fathers would think about our current politicians and political system and what acts they would take to correct it while working in the yard. Willing to bet they would be more than pissed and they would look at this upcoming generation as spoiled clueless indoctrinated scum.

> My enemy is my friend. Working together for a common goal?

You know funny you should say that. Just yesterday a strange thought occurred to me; what if Christians and Muslims were able to come together in communities and actually sit down at the same dinner table and see that they both have families they care about, jobs they work hard at, and realize its the extremists and political factions that are manipulating their emotions to be at odds against each other. I don’t think Christ would want us to hate them. I’m not being naive when I say this but I think a little love needs to be injected to begin that process.

Junipersec (a site I hadn't come across before) also says that the Chechens are working together with the Iranians.

As I posted here and here, it is dangerous to believe that Islamic politics is just split according to one dimension (in this case Sunni vs Shia).

Maybe instead of invading Iraq “fopr oil we never saw” we should have demanded an oilfield and 10 km around each one for each american killed on 9/11 by the saudis and when they didn’t provide them we should have taken over the whole damn country and set up a certain area as a “above ground nuclear test site” I am sure 50cent a gallon gas would have been very helpful in 2002.....

receiving monetary and ideological support from Riyadh."

There is no solution that does not involve dealing with the finance sources in Saudi Arabia. It is the money men who pay to build the mosques. It is the money men who pay the salaries of the radical clerics who recruit jihadis all day. It is the money men who support the radical madrassahs which indoctrinate kids into jihad.

Eliminate the financial support, and radical Islam is greatly diminished.

THE "MUSLIM MINORITY AFFAIRS" AGENDA

A calculated foreign policy of the Saudi Ministry to spread Islam.

1) Recruit individual Muslims who live in non-Muslim lands and transform them as a collective unit by establishing Islamic centers, educational programs, mosques, and organizations (like the Islamic Society of North America and the Muslim Students Association) that serve to prevent Muslims from assimilating into the cultures of their non-Muslim host nations. [Continued at link]

Huma Abedin's father helped write it... Dr. Abedin's Muslim Minorities in the West (published in 1998).
