Within 24 hours of the bombing, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had escaped in plain sight by returning to their normal activities, even though the older brother Tamerlan had been a focus of FBI surveillance in 2011. The real crime-scene-investigative heroes were millions of members of the internet social media website Reddit, who virally leveraged their diverse skills as citizen-social-investigators.

It’s an amazing irony that soon after the martial law police lockdown was lifted, a CIVILIAN found the bomber in his backyard.
If Boston had not been locked down, the CIVILIAN would have found the bloody handprint on the tarp many hours earlier.

Just goes to show that after 9/11 there should have been multuiple firings at the FBI and CIA and promotions of those yelling about foreign nations taking fluight training but not landing training. And most certainly not the creation of several new agencies that have done nothing but spend money and obsficate the real issues....
Oh and after firing those morons at the FBI and CIA that ignored the people who where screaming below them those who ere fired should have also undergone “pension-ectomies” as well.

That is oh so very true. The same argument can indeed be applied to the 2nd Amendment. Not only does it ensure real power resides with the people, not the government, an armed populace of 100's of millions is harder for a foreign country to conquer than an army of a million.
