Homeland Security Failed In Boston
Chriss Street and Co. ^ | April 20, 2013 | Chriss W. Street

The FBI and Justice Department put-on a clever media dog and pony show last night to trumpet how the combined forces law enforcement successfully captured the Boston Marathon Bombers, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Within 24 hours of the bombing, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had escaped in plain sight by returning to their normal activities, even though the older brother Tamerlan had been a focus of FBI surveillance in 2011. The real crime-scene-investigative heroes were millions of members of the internet social media website Reddit, who virally leveraged their diverse skills as citizen-social-investigators.

“Are people that stupid?”

In a word? Yes.

We just got back from DC...you can't get *near* the WH [nevermind in for a tour*]. Cops, mounties and dogs everywhere! Self evident that this is no longer a *free country*.

Our DearLeader is well protected from the hoi polloi.

A lot of people are talking about how the FBI has failed and I’m sure, on many levels, the organization as a whole has. I believe most of the field agents are committed and dedicated men and women who are just as frustrated as most of us. I’m sure these agents have seen their attempts to protect and secure our country from the infiltration of foreign terrorist thwarted by this muslim friendly administration, who it seems would do anything not to insult their muslim friends or brothers. These FBI agents are probably just as frustrated by this administration as our Border Patrol agents are in their attempt to secure our Borders.

Big Sis Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security, has been remarkably invisible over the past week during one of the biggest homeland security incidents since 9/11. For some reason the media is not seeking her out for comments and she isn’t parading in front of the cameras with Obama and Deval Patrick.

What’s up with Big Sis? Is she being kept out of sight to give Deval Patrick the glory so he can run for the 2016 Dem ticket? Is she staying out of sight to be trotted out for the immigration debate? Why aren’t the Republicans demanding her resignation?

Many questions, no answers. The normal state of affairs in 2013 in the USA.

I was amazed how the top cop in Boston looked like Nazi Gestapo.

Obama isn’t competent to run a sno cone stand.

It's easier to teach goats to surf than Obama how a lemonade stand works.

... “spiffy tacticool gear” ... “police state”

It’s a fashion police state.

And spiffy tacticool is all the rage!

I’d still like to believe that FBI “field agents are committed and dedicated yada yada”.

But, really, they’re just another group of government employees living off the taxpayers.

They’re certainly less efficient than the USPS, and probably misdeliver justice more often than USPS misdelivers mail.

I understand that after the FBI did a check, and they said they found nothing, the case was closed.

I wonder who decided to close the case, was it mac daddy and his useless slave big sis.

Gee what a surprise that would be, oh wait mac daddy said the war on terror is over and we can cut 40% of the budget of the agency who protect Americans from terror since it is over.

The terrorists were killed/caught by the tiny Newtown PD and a guy tinkering with his boat.

If say, the FBI had shared previous intelligence on the older terrorist before they scrubbed the report of the words “muslim” and “terrorist activities”...then this could have ended sooner.

I don't know of anybody who is casting aspersions (sp?) on the rank and file.

Clearly, the leadership of The FBI, CYA, Fatherland Security, etc., is compromised. Probably by member of Da Moose Limb Brothahood.

Evidence of this is catalogued at this website Investigative Project on Terrorism"

I'm afraid they are. Even members on this forum. Look at post 28 as an example.

Considering how much my local government has spent for “Homeland Security” equipment, which amounts to millions of dollars worth of new cars, trucks, earth moving equipment, several large trailers with “Homeland Security” painted on the side, and raises for the six figure club, I would think a city like Boston would have enough resources to catch these guys before they did anything. Another epic failure of law enforcement.
