WATE: Authorities are investigating after a security guard was fired upon at the Watts Bar Nuclear Power Plant. It happened around 2 a.m. today on the TVA property near the Tennessee River about a quarter mile from the plant's protected area. Officials say the security officer was patrolling the area when he was shot at, he returned fire and was uninjured. The shooting lead the Watts Bar plant staff to declare an unusual event, which is the lowest of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's four emergency classifications. The FBI will also be sending a team. A suspect has not been found.

Damn security officer best stay away from my marijuana plants.
The liberal lefties are already hoping it’s “a white guy”.
Hey let’s AMMESTY 12 million of these guys..!
AND take away our guns...!
KAY?
Yes, and they sincerely hope he has a registered gun.
Watts Bar Nuclear Power Plant is located in Rhea County, Tennessee, near Spring City, between the cities of Chattanooga and Knoxville.
TN... Must be some whitey out celebrating Hitler’s birthday.
Hmm? Is there registration in TN? I know you may have stated that tongue in cheek. BTW. Did any of the employees at the plant have to undergo inter-galactic background checks in order to work there? I’m thinkin’ more than king hussein ever had to go through. And yet, he’s the king. Weird huh?
There was a story in a local paper a few years back about some Russians trying to break into a plant in Georgia (USA). The feds showed up and took custody of them. The story never had a follow up.
Trying to find out if security is armed and will fire back.
Hussein couldn’t enlist as an Army private looking for KP duty trying to get out of jail time.

Tennessee? Probably grandpa out squirrel hunting, crapped his trousers and ran when shots started coming thru the woods.
Wow, thx.
...Especially, since you and another are the only ones posting anything informative.
Must be one of those Tea Party nuts /sarc
Dry run to see what the reaction is.
Yea, you about 10 other people already posted the same sarcastic comment.
Tennessee moonshiner protecting his still?
Haven’t I read the Watts Bar Nuclear Power Plant is THE most secure plant in America? Can’t get closer than 2 miles from there.
Or am I thinking of another plant in Tennessee?
Some commie rat bastard celebrating May Day a little early. It “is” the holiday season, y’know.
Re dry run: even the Boston bombings could be a dry run to see how the cameras get the patsy kids they convinced to do the deed. Terrorists sure know a lot more about surveillance than they did one week ago.
What could possibly go wrong with that great plan? Heh.
Answering my own question. It’s the Oak Ridge plant I was thinking of.
Thx
Mmmmm, the ghost of popcorn
That’s what I was thinking. Now he’s gonna have to move it!
Whenever there is an “unusual event” at a nuke plant, other nuke plants in the US get very tense.
I once had the opportunity to meet the guy in charge of security at a natural gas powered plant. A Vietnam veteran, he was not the kind of guy it would be wise to try to sneak up on and surprise. He had a hand picked security detail, and a bunch of really expensive special weapons as needed.
My brother works at a nuclear plant. After 911, security was beefed up A LOT. I’m not going to say anything more on the subject.
Correction: Christian middle class middle aged white guy. Anyone notice how the press expressed more outrage and hatred toward Zimmerman?

Really? I’ve been inside a lot of non-nuclear power plants and the security is always just a notch above Barney Fife.
LOL! Hard to say since we know ABSOLUTELY nothing about him other than what they “feed” to us. Sadly a lot of sheeple suck it right up.
In this case it might very well be a white guy with an econut background...
But either way...any way...it looks like someone is trying to provoke us...real bad...
The should be video ....?
“But either way...any way...it looks like someone is trying to provoke us...real bad...”
They’ve been trying to for years, but it’s ramped up dramatically in the last week.
That or someone was poaching.
For later. Thanks.
Called the relayshuns down'ereabouts, Sleepin', Smokin', Eatin', Lovin', Rockin', Runnin', Sunnin' an' Gunnin'---leastways every son with a phone.
Twarn't none o' they.
SOUNDS DUCKY! I can hardly wait to visit the US next year and look for survivors among my family and friends.
I have fished many-a day at Watts Bar Lake. One of my favorite places on earth. I love Spring City. It is very rural and very conservative. The Scopes trial was held not to far away. Interesting that the Tenn River is navigable from there to the Miss River.( I know too lazy to spell !!! )
ol'popcorn was smart enough NOT to build anywhere near a power plant...
Enviro fascists are probing. Imagine them setting a nuclear plant to go critical.
Interesting timing

Odds are that it was some midnight hunter that strayed a bit too close to the plant. Return fire sent him running.
‘Overload the system’
It works on security infrastructure, too. Every kind, human psyche, financial...
We are under Attack.
Just so y’all know, there are armed personnel ALL OVER inside the plant proper, and they have some really big weapons available. These guys are semi-military.
I spent the good part of a day in a nuke last year - very secure. They even had pill boxes on the roof.
The guy was lucky that all he got was return fire from a sidearm.
