House Speaker John Boehner Monday defended the way he has handled the investigation into last year's attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, insisting a select committee is not needed to probe the incident.
The Ohio Republican told the media that he has resisted lawmakers calls for a select committee because he doesn't think one is necessary.
The five committees that have jurisdiction over this matter are working closely together, said Boehner. They're getting the job done.
As of Monday, The Hill reports, 117 of Boehner's fellow lawmakers have signed onto a resolution from Republican Rep. Frank Wolf of Virginia, seeking a select committee. However, Boehner, defending his handling into the Benghazi incident, said it would be a waste of time and money, a claim backed by leaders of the Oversight, Foreign Affairs, Armed Services, Intelligence, and Judiciary committees.

I have no doubt.
25% of the US Representatives have signed their names to a resolution
*********
Sadly, they are just as weak as Boner is. Action often requires a little more effort than just signing one’s name.
aattta boy Beoner- keep undermining the GOP- You and your ilk sir are the left’s best weapon again our constitutional rights, morality and decency- Way yto go beaoner
Boehner has come to the point where he hates the Tea Party more than anything else. He won’t throw them/us so much as a dried up old worthless bone. This is what his actions say, anyway. If he ever spearheads an effort that pleases Tea Partiers & enrages or dispirits Dems, let me know.
How many calls can be directed to Boner’s DC office?
Not to mention a letter with 700 OPSEC signatures...
TRAITOR.
The RINO’s don’t want to offend any Democrats by holding them accountable.
Every day...another outrage.
Thanks to Boehner and the rest of the rinos, this administration is completely lawless and out of control now. They are literally laughing in everyone’s face, refusing to answer any questions or be held accountable to the other two branches of government. It is a sorry state of affairs.
The media carries the water of the administration at all times and even Fox News has lost their edge and carries the water of the Saudi ‘s who have part ownership in their network.
Depressing.
*Depressing* is the word.
On days like this, I’m glad I’m getting old.
No guts, no glory, no righteous behavior in the leadership.
This coming from the guy that could have put an end to Obama's spending spree but chose not to.
The other night I was speaking with one of my sisters on the phone, and I pronounced Boehner's name "Boner". She didn't know to whom I was referring, as she pronounces it "Bayner", which is probably correct. We did have a laugh over it. :)
How I despise that man.
islam is in the building.
With Republicans like this, who needs Dems. This jerk should just move across the aisle already and have a good cry about it.
Hey...you are not getting old!! If push comes to shove and this lawless government attacks her own citizens, I could see you on the front lines leading a battalion.....LOL.
LOLOL. Yep, “Bayner” is correct, but yours is better!
LOL. Oh yes, I’m getting old, but I would love to be on the front lines. We must do battle, one of these days. Either that, or lose our Republic.
I want to be here when we restore this country to its former glory. Nothing less is acceptable.
Knowing how close Boehner and obama”s relationship,[ howbeit on the sly] is, does this surprise anyone?
Oh, okay then.
Every story in the news sounds like it's straight out of The Onion. You can't make this crap up.
Is this quisling owned by the Saud's too? Who's not owned by them and will any true patriots take a stand against this?
