Marco Rubio Spokesman Compares Illegal Aliens to Slaves
Stand With Arizona ^ | 04-22-2013 | John Hill

Bipartisan Group Of Senators Announce Major Agreement On Immigration Reform

As his lies are being exposed daily, Marco and his team are losing their heads.

-

The panic among the amnesty pimps has reached hysterical proportions.

As conservatives increasingly discover how the 'Gang of Eight' amnesty bill would be an abject disaster for America, and also realize how Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has lied to them about its provisions, Rubio and his team have reacted with La Raza talking points, and now disgraceful race-baiting.

Case in point, Rubio's spokesperson Alex Conant - in a Twitter exchange with Washington Examiner columnist Conn Carroll, R- said, “We haven’t had a cohort of people living permanently in US without full rights of citizenship since slavery.”

alex_conant_tweet

Of course, to follow Conant's absurd and offensive comment, he doesn't only refer to illegal aliens. He’s also talking about any non-citizen who lives in this country permanently, including millions of Green Card holders. And as Carroll noted, if illegals are modern slaves, then...

conn_tweet

Exactly.

Moreover, to illustrate its absurdity, if Conant saying that illegal aliens who don't become citizens are "slaves", then how does he characterize the 64% of 3.5 million illegal aliens who received amnesty in 1986 who never bothered to apply for citizenship? Are they keeping themselves in slavery?

Of course there is no comparison between slaves, who were brought and kept here against their will, with foreign nations who came here and stay here by choice. It is disgraceful to attack (soon to be former) allies by suggesting their insistence on enforcing our laws makes them racists, and insulting to minimize the harsh experience of millions of Black Americans by comparing them to border crossers and tourist visa violators.

Get used to it folks. As our side continues to hammer the amnesty pimps with inconvenient facts that undermine their lies, they will continue to become more unhinged. It is just disgraceful to see how Rubio is throwing away the credibility he spent 4 years to earn among conservatives, just to be Chuck Schumer's messenger boy.

Wow, this thread really touched a nerve with me. I was at work this weekend, I have been working 60-80 hr weeks since the beginning of December, and it is wearing me down to a nub. But while I was at work, I had the rare experience of seeing someone else in that area on the weekend. When she walked by, she said casually "Hello, fellow slave." I was honestly dumbfounded at my reaction to that comment: I couldn't say anything, but the first thing into my mind before I saw her disappear past my doorway was "What the Hell? I'm not a slave! My employer PAYS ME MONEY to do a job. I am lucky as hell..."

I almost had to laugh at myself because I know she was just trying to be sociable and make a clever comment, but it hit me completely wrong, and it did it so quickly it was like falling through ice on a pond.

What a jackass. And to think I used to like him. Sheesh. No thanks, Senador Amnistia.

Well, it is true that American history is chock full of people who came here for the sole purpose of making money.

I kind of like the fact that there was, at one time, so much freedom that we couldn’t keep out people who came here to make a living and get ahead in life.

Sure, lots of people came due to hunger, repression, etc, but a lot of people made a choice to come here not because someone was going to take care of them, but because they would be free to take care of themselves.

I find that very powerful and compelling.

America was a great country long before we became a rich nation.

One of the metrics we can assess this country contrasted to others is... how many other countries do people line up to get into compared to the USA?

But who created the slavery/indentured servitude? Those who bypassed law/ground rules on employing unlawful aliens.....

When I see a guy like this, providing a service, and making money, however little, I want to kick one of those cardboard sign begging dummies in the rear end.

Well said.

“Marco Rubio’s career as a Senator is going to come to a close next election. He is just committing political suicide.”

How so? I am not getting it.

That is true. You don’t see anyone but Hollywood libtards lined up to go to get their healthcare in Cuba. And even THOSE are the stupidest ones.

How many of those commie idiots complain about the country they are immigrating to?

It makes me ill to hear immigrants (legal or illegal) bad mouthing this country and lifting up their own. It should be 180 degrees in reverse, and if it isn’t, they shouldn’t be allowed into this freeping country.

Well indentured servitude can be traced back to Europe possibly England first, but slavery? look to the African continent for the earliest record? So if you are trying to lay both Slavery and indentured servitude at the feet of Europeans, AKA Caucasians you you’ll have a little problem.

That’s not the point I was trying to emphasize here. Rubio’s press guy implied not giving citizenship to those here illegally created a situation akin to the days of slavery. I was trying to point out that if illegals were not hired in the first place in opposition to law this situation would not exist. It is not nor should be the guilt trip of citizens & tax payers.

“Marco Rubio Spokesman Compares Illegal Aliens to Slaves”

Oh, why not! I once compared Rubio to a patriotic American. Just goes to show you that we’re all wrong once in a while.

As my daddy said, “Only a fool never changes his mind”.

He’s got it wrong.

It’s taxpayers he should be comparing to slaves.

Or maybe we are horses, carrying illegals and other moochers on our backs.

Sorry I was obtuse! Yes I agree if people did not hire illegals there would be less traffic, but you can’t even stop Joe Home owner from picking them up at Home Depot and what busts me up is they are not CHEAP labor!

***This is about more than healthcare. None of those libtards actually want to live in Cuba.

True. My eight yr. old told my husband just the other day that he was the best gardner in the whole neighborhood. And my husband asks him why? he responds because you don’t have Mexicans do your yard you do it yourself. All this construct on his own...
