Delay Tactics Being Used in the SC. Senate to Prevent Passage of Self-Defense Bill

Charlotte, NC --(Ammoland.com)- Some misguided state senators in South Carolina are working to delay passage of Senate Bill 308, the Restaurant Carry bill introduced by state Senator Sean Bennett.

By introducing countless frivolous amendments, several senators are delaying passage of this critical self-defense bill. While some have claimed that they support S 308 during the debate, countless frivolous amendments have been introduced, such as limiting the capacity of a Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) holder’s carried firearm to six rounds or mandating that it only be a single-action firearm.

Every amendment offered is designed to delay passage of S 308, which was even admitted on the Senate floor, and the senators who have been supporting them need to hear from you.

Delaying the passage of S 308 is a tactic designed to defeat the bill!

Please contact the following senators, who have supported gun rights in the past, and urge them to support efforts to end the debate on S 308 and bring it up for a vote IMMEDIATELY!

It is long past the time when the 2nd Amendment defenders should stop playing defense and start playing offense with proposals to repeal past legislation such as the unconstitutional 1968 gun laws. Keep the unconstitutional anti02nd Amendment legislators too busy defending their ill gotten political gains to spend any further time and political capital necessary to cause any new anti-2nd Amendment mischief.

I do not understand enough about the bill to comment on it. SC has pretty good CCW privileges. What would this bill do?

It appears that it allows CCW holders to carry in restaurants that serve alcohol.

This allows us to carry in a restaurant that serves alcohol...most in my area do. If my wife and I go out to dinner in the evening, I have to leave the gun in the car (which is stupid) then, in the dark walk from the restaurant to the parking lot...for seniors, a most vulnerable time. I don’t need a drink when I’m carrying, nobody does. So carry inti the restaurant but don’t drink...simple ...that’s 308.
