Jihad has blown up The Liberal Utopia.
The visionary liberal land of political and social perfection.
President Obama is not happy and he isnt alone.
You know the place.
The Liberal Utopia is a land where gun background checks prevent mass murder.
The Liberal Utopia is a land where Islamic fundamentalists have changed their perception of America because the President travels to Muslim nations to give lovely speeches, believes that the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and elsewhere is a wonderful sign of an Arab Spring, and refuses to use the word terrorist whether his administration is investigating Ft. Hood, Boston, or Benghazi.
The Liberal Utopia is a land where a 2009 presidential video proclaiming a new beginning in American relations with Iran will halt the effort to build a nuclear bomb.
The Liberal Utopia is a land where the good intentions of Social Security will never bankrupt the Social Security Trust Fund.
The Liberal Utopia is a land where the good intentions of Medicare could not possibility result in trillions of unfunded liability.
The Liberal Utopia is a land where the War on Poverty was supposed to end poverty and instead winds up sending violent crime skyrocketing, and, in the words of Thomas Sowell, setting up the American black family for rapid disintegration in the liberal welfare state that subsidized unwed pregnancy and changed welfare from an emergency rescue to a way of life.
One could go on and on and on .spotting those will-o-the-wisp glimpses of The Liberal Utopia (Obamacare here, the Obama stimulus over there, the promise to close Guantanamo way back there) with example after example of this miserably failed attempt to find or create a Liberal Utopia.
Or what our friend Mark Levin deftly calls Ameritopia.

And that stupid Constitution thing they keep going on and on and on about !
Mr. E. Masculated
missed one: the lib utopia is a state of mind. Libs believe, at this very moment, that things are going their way and all is fairly well. A true mental disorder. The worse things get, the more the libs will retreat into their utopia.
Mark Levin deftly calls Ameritopia.
I’d call it an acid trip.
Liberal utopia is still alive and well and tone-deaf. Yesterday there was a Memorial Service at Boston University for the Chinese student killed by the Muslim bombers. NPR sent a woman named Asma Khalid to cover it. I am surprised they did not send her on this assignment with a pressure cooker. This is what she looks like: http://journalism.indiana.edu/news/npr-producer-kahlid-describes-job-duties-ethics-issues/
These Dhimmilibs are NOT goin to change.
Certainly not yet, maybe not EVER.
Oceans of blood—even their own—will not change their minds.
Hey, if the Terrorist Jihadis would just confine themselves to killing libtards.......
“Jihad has blown up The Liberal Utopia.”
Pssst—dontcha know? It’s not jihad ——it’s domestic terrorism done by “homegrown” terrorists.. The “master” has spoken and so be it known throughout the land with the help of his state controlled media.
On other sites, the liberal Boston sheep were praising the armed thugs who broke into their homes. herded the sheep outside and searched their homes without a warrant. They said the armed intrusions made them safer. When posters pointed out that suspect No. 2 wasn’t nabbed until the “lockdown” ended, and the fat doughnut boys went back to their liars, they simply ignored the observation and cheered for their jailers.
The real pi$$er for the libs is that it happened in the holy city of Boston.
“If I could have convinced more slaves that they were slaves, I would have freed thousands more.”—Harriet Tubman
I have come to call it Neo Europa...... all from New York, north and east. The area must be purged to save America. When Neo Europa is purged, America can thrive.
They blew it up in 2001.
Gun control is a classic example of this: Wash DC, for many years running the murder capital of the USA, had until recently a total prohibition on guns. A rational person would think well they can't go any further, but no. DC's politicians blamed Virginia's lack of total prohibition for DC's murders, ignoring the evidence that Alexandria, rignt opposite DC, had 1/8th the murder rate of DC. And the liberal media - otherwise known as the fourth branch of government - never questions this illogic.
I guess War and Peace is not on your reading list.
It’s too close to their base assumptions on which their ideology is built.
If they admit they’re wrong on this, its an admission that the whole way they view the world is wrong.
One of the “casualties” of losing this worldview is losing the assumption of “I’m a good person”.
Someone’s post the other day made the connection for me.
Laws can’t prevent crime any more than the Old Testament Law
could make people righteous.
Very good article by Jeffrey Lord. Thanks for posting.
Totalitiarians work hand-in-hand and/or in parallel with jihadists. There are agendas to drive, things/people to control. Witness history. Witness current events.
Just curious. How would you have handled the situation?
I personally think the situation is far bigger than anyone has let on and potentially more dangerous. I’ve got serious problems with the “cower” in place order but feel that it could have been far more acceptable if the people were allowed to be armed. The warrantless searches are a whole other issue of wrong.
If it were me, I would ASK the people to limit their travel for the day if possible and to keep their eyes open.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.
According to Nanny Bloomberg the “interpretation of the constitution will have to change following the Boston bombing”.
Yes but the liberal “mind” is not open to reality. It will always go on thinking what it always thought in spite of proof to the contrary.
If those cops were as jumpy as most tend to be in actually intense situations (see all the shot dogs and heavy-handed abuse of innocents during ‘wrong-house’ raids), I imagine there would’ve been several police shootings of civilians during the course of the day. They’re not used to being shot at, nor are they used to having explosives lobbed at them. They don’t train for it and it undoubtedly scared them shitless.
I think reminding people that police can be potentially dangerous in these situations would be a wise move.
That’s not a slap at police. I think there are times when police should be dangerous but the public should be clearly reminded of it.
Thank you for posting this...I have always enjoyed Jeffrey Lord’s articles.
There’s a big difference between alert/weary and trigger-happy. Too often it seems these guys tend towards the latter. I’m convinced it stems from poor training.
Me too. I thought his article from last week was good too. http://spectator.org/archives/2013/04/18/blown-away-did-movie-inspire-b
Just curious. How would you have handled the situation?
A reasoned discussion about this question is underway at this thread:
Lots of good info by a FReeper attorney and retired cop.
I call it fascism
The oceans of blood in the "killing fields" of Cambodia did not lessen the enthusiasm of American leftists for communism. They would rather die than admit error in their ideology.
Since the serpent offered the “alternate truth”,
people have been clinging rigidly to this “truth”
or to the real truth as God reveals it.
The alternate truth says that you, the human, are god,
deciding good and evil for yourself,
and defining your own righteousness.
That’s hard to shift out of.
Unfortunately the ineptitude of the contemporary conservative-GOP side seems incapable of making a strong enough opposition case.
For example what ever happened about the guns in Arizona. Did that just fade away, or get dropped?
Well, their POSHITUS spiked the ball with OBL and his kid got partly even then zero rushed to assure Saud Royalty not one hair would be touched of the three Saudis ‘supervising’ the Marathon bomb placement.
But that won’t erode their support or awaken their bludgeoned reporting skills... even though they know most future attacks will be on their blue cities.
Though I wouldn’t wish for anyone to be the victim of terrorism,
it is ironic, and tempting to hold it over them, that those who will be attacked are the ones whose policies tend to invite terrorist attacks.
It’s like the economic collapse - it’s tempting to desire that those who support the policies leading to the collapse actually experience the consequences of their ideology.
Thanks for posting.
Pinging some others.
Thanks very much!
Will read this afternoon.
5 page article and a good one!
The Liberal Utopia is a land of unicorns and purple skies...
Thats right. As the Huffington Post has noted here, and I have placed the real news in bold:
WASHINGTON The Boston bombing suspects engaged in a deadly firefight with police last week, possessing six bombs, handguns, a rifle and more than 250 rounds of ammunition. But the Tsarnaev brothers did not have proper licenses to possess the firearms, according to the Cambridge Police Department a revelation that comes just days after the Senate voted against strengthening and expanding background checks for gun sales.
Cambridge Police Department spokesman Dan Riviello told The Huffington Post that neither Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, nor Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, appeared to have a license to own a handgun.
Can it be? Can it be? No permits? ping
‘One of the casualties of losing this worldview is losing the assumption of Im a good person.’
If I knew your real name, I would attribute this to you, because in my opinion, this is the statement of the century.
It literally sums up almost 100 years of liberalism in the US, and why under the weight of all the evidence they aren’t willing to admit that it doesn’t work.
The Soviets never had this problem, since they never had God in the first place.
Much tougher when entire denominations of church going people vigorously support late term abortion and homosexuality.
Prayer and study and prayer...
“Liberalism” actually “makes sense” to me now.
It’s WRONG, and based on wrong assumptions,
but I understand what those assumptions are better than most if not all those who hold those assumptions.
Thanks for the ping.
