That’s the party line both then as it is now...that the Dems are for the “little” guy. Its been shown time and again that that is not true.....

Dems are for the little guy only so far as they are for “Big” unions and any thing else that moves us closer to socialism.....and that’s been true since my before my parents were born and FDR hadn’t been elected president his first term....

During the early 1990’s, James Dobson moved his Focus on the Family Ministry out of Southern Cal to Colorado Springs. He said CA is too liberal for him. Fast forward to 2013. CO may be too liberal for him.

Brian Schweitzer is taking his time. I wonder why? Is he worried about public opinion?

It is possible to defeat a well-liked Governor in a U.S. Senate race. It happened in Massachustts in 1996 and Wyoming in 1994.

Electoral historians (you know who you are) may recall that it very nearly happened in Nebraska in 1984 and Iowa in 1968 against Republican candidates who were not well-known. So I wouldn’t write if off even if Schweitzer runs.

And Ben Nelson lost in 1996 too. He and Weld who both got 70% of the vote for Governor 2 years earlier.

We need to get Rep. Daines or AG Tim Fox in the race.

My preference would be the AG. Not only do I almost always tout AGs gor Senate runs (J.B. Van Hollen in WI, Wayne Stenehjem in ND, Ken Cucinnelli in VA), running a freshman Congressman didn’t go well for us last year in neighboring ND.

Conservatives have a hard time winning ND. Must be full of minorities and federal employees and college campuses.

If you cannot make it there, you cannot make it anywhere, its up to you ND, ND ....

Fraud on the reservations really screws us in every close race in the Dakotas. Harlem on the prairie.

And people in conservative states are willing to split their tickets much more than liberals are. It’s a very large problem.

Berg ran a lousy race, it may have been a free throw but you still have to make the shot, just ask that young Spur Kawhi Leonard that missed one with 20 seconds left in the 4th quarter of game 6. ND is parochial, they’ll vote for people if they like them. Heidi made it close enough to steal with Indian fraud by doing retail politics. As a rank ideologue it makes me sick.

Dem pollster PPP shows a toss-up not only between RAT Schweitzer and Republican Racicot (who has never pulled the trigger in a Senate race), but also between Schweitzer and GOP Congressman Daines:

Thanks for that. Good news
Suggests Obama is dragging his party down.

Earlier polls had Daines looking strong too, IIRC he may narrowly lead the now retiring Baucus.

The less tier challengers appear to trail big.

This doesn’t mention Fox, perhaps he bowed out.

Recent PPP polls have Kay Hagen looking weak. Leading the State House Speaker by 5 and some tea party doctor I’ve never heard of by 4.
