My take on this is that on any given day Obama receives at least 25 nutball letters containing suspicious substances. Such a distraction can be ordered-up on any day he chooses.

The Senator’s letter had some negative results as well as positive (at least in field testing).

Meanwhile there is no national attention on the bomb that was mailed to Sheriff Joe Arpaio in the week before the Boston attacks.

The media needed a southern “Republican” whipping boy in the wake of the Islamist attacks. Except he posed with his Christian Democrat bumper sticker...

It's usually less than that, but on any given day almost anybody can take a good look at mail addressed to Congress, the Cabinet secretaries, the federal cops, and so on and funny stuff is there to be seen.

The facility that checks this mail coming in to the gub'mnt has sniffers ~ and other things ~ and they're pretty sensitive.

You could probably rub a caster bean on a letter and they'd pick it up.

I think that I remember in the Bible being referred to as the “Accuser”. The title really, really does fit the Left.

Distraction? Misdirection?
Something makes me think of both words. My trust of the Federal Government is approaching the level of my Great Grandfather.

I don’t recall any conservative media putting any spin on anything....other than to point out the ridiculous projections of the leftist press. The dude was a democrat.

CASTOR OIL

Damn! that takes me back to my misspent youth.

The best smell in the world is a two stroke engine burning Castrol bean oil. Damn them EPA bureaucrats. I want my GT750 back.

FNC reported that the FBI is investigating whether he was framed by a neighbor.

I smell a civil lawsuit coming from the wrongfully accused...

“I used to play with castor beans when I was a child. I used them as cargo in the freight cars of my Lionel electric train.”

That brought back a flash from the past. I used to use six-inch cuttings from winter-time hydrangea shrubs as cargo “logs” for my electric train.

Does - or did - castor oil ever have anything to do with Castrol motor oil?

I don’t like seeing innocent people being framed and accused.

He's a despicable DemonRAT. If not guilty of this particular thing, he's almost certainly involved with voter fraud. Fraud is what this guy is all about since he lies when he claims to be a Christian. Atheistic liberalism is contrary to God's will and is a mockery.

Richard Jewell, exactly what it made me think of. At the time, I thought the RJ case was just an issue of overzealous law enforcement desperate to make an arrest. Now I wonder.

The other think it made me think of was the anthrax case where they accused and harassed Steven Hatfill. The guy they finally settled on committed suicide. Did they harass him until he did so, thus closing the case? Very suspicious.

What do all these cases have in common? Terrorism plus false accusations against non-Muslim white American males. The accused do not fit the profile of likely terrorists. The only profile they fit is the profile of who the left wing *wants* to be guilty.

I never believed there were any letters. We never saw the envelope like they used to show on TV.
