WELCOME Mark Levin!
Now broadcasting from the underground command post...
Deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker...
Somewhere under the brick and steel of a nondescript building,
we have once again made contact with our leader-—

Eastern Redbuds - Cercis Canadensis - are in full bloom:
And the very rare Eastern Redbud "Alba" (White) are in bloom, too:
Bitter as it is to accept the results of the November election, we should have reason for some optimism. For many years now we have preached the gospel, in opposition to the philosophy of so-called liberalism which was, in truth, a call to collectivism.
Now, it is possible we have been persuasive to a greater degree than we had ever realized. Few, if any, Democratic party candidates in the last election ran as liberals. Listening to them I had the eerie feeling we were hearing reruns of Goldwater speeches. I even thought I heard a few of my own.
Bureaucracy was assailed and fiscal responsibility hailed. Even George McGovern donned sackcloth and ashes and did penance for the good people of South Dakota.
But lets not be so naive as to think we are witnessing a mass conversion to the principles of conservatism. Once sworn into office, the victors reverted to type. In their view, apparently, the ends justified the means.
Can we live with ourselves if we, as a nation, betray our friends and ignore our pledged word? And, if we do, who would ever trust us again? To consider committing such an act so contrary to our deepest ideals is symptomatic of the erosion of standards and values. And this adds to our discontent.
We did not seek world leadership; it was thrust upon us. It has been our destiny almost from the first moment this land was settled. If we fail to keep our rendezvous with destiny or, as John Winthrop said in 1630, Deal falsely with our God, we shall be made a story and byword throughout the world.
Americans are hungry to feel once again a sense of mission and greatness.
I don t know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, We must broaden the base of our partywhen what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.
It was a feeling that there was not a sufficient difference now between the parties that kept a majority of the voters away from the polls. When have we ever advocated a closed-door policy? Who has ever been barred from participating?
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?
Let us show that we stand for fiscal integrity and sound money and above all for an end to deficit spending, with ultimate retirement of the national debt.
Let us also include a permanent limit on the percentage of the peoples earnings government can take without their consent.
Let our banner proclaim a genuine tax reform that will begin by simplifying the income tax so that workers can compute their obligation without having to employ legal help.
And let it provide indexingadjusting the brackets to the cost of livingso that an increase in salary merely to keep pace with inflation does not move the taxpayer into a surtax bracket. Failure to provide this means an increase in governments share and would make the worker worse off than he was before he got the raise.
Let our banner proclaim our belief in a free market as the greatest provider for the people.
Let us also call for an end to the nit-picking, the harassment and over-regulation of business and industry which restricts expansion and our ability to compete in world markets.
Let us explore ways to ward off socialism, not by increasing governments coercive power, but by increasing participation by the people in the ownership of our industrial machine.
Our banner must recognize the responsibility of government to protect the law-abiding, holding those who commit misdeeds personally accountable.
And we must make it plain to international adventurers that our love of peace stops short of peace at any price.
We will maintain whatever level of strength is necessary to preserve our free way of life.
A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.
I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.
Makes me sneeze just looking at them.
I brought a few drum-laced, balled & burlapped, Jap Maple trees back, too:
I think you are right about the white blooming flower tree that does produces a very strong smell in reference to a body that is dead. Forgot the name of the blooming tree in question.
Wow! Mark is on fire today. Have I ever said how much I love Mark Levin? Well, I do!!
Give ‘em hell, Mark!!
Get your allergy shots and stay upwind. They do put-out a lot of pollen, when grouped in a grove. Scattered naturally, not so much.
I want someone to ask why this little terrorist can’t have his citizenship revoked for lying taking his oath.
Then he can be treated as an enemy combatant.
unless they were worried that the money printing to prop up the market might end
I didn’t have a radio on all day, so I didn’t hear anything about this until almost 3:30, when Dad called to tell me, after I’d gotten back to York. Holy carp.
To answer your question from yesterday. It was 15 acres, 900 semi dwarf Jonathan, Cortland, Red D and Golden D. 500 in the front 400 in the back. 12 sprays a year beginning with oil and some hot pesticides I had to get a license to use. The A-Hole who sold it to me didn't tell me it had shepherd's crook, AKA fire blight, AKA terminal tree cancer, and by the time I had the county extension come diagnose it it was too late. I tried to prune it all out but it infected the whole orchard in little over 5 years. I bought the property for the house and acres, the orchard basically free.
On the up side, apple wood is good for smoking meat.
Mark Levin at his very, very best. :)
Too bad; beautiful spread. I had 10ac of mixed orchards, and pulled it all after 10yrs, rather than having to deal with disease, insects, chemicals, labor and gov’t a-holes. Put it back into productive, money-making crops, with the rest of the 200ac.
late...grandson just got picked up......
That’s exactly what Mrs S said. LOL!
your economic policies tank the economy? change the method of measuring it
US GDP shake-up adds magic 3% to growth
As of July American GDP figs will be altered to include intangible assets, bumping up growth by a not-too-shabby 3%.
Here at MT stats has never been our strong point, but this looks a lot like smoke and mirrors to us
I thought about that but the trees were so diseased I worried in could have been harmful to use for smoking.
good piece....damn good
When you say “govt a-holes” what exactly did the govt do? Just for growing fruit trees on your own property? What the heck? Can’t we do that anymore? Or was it over the pesticides you wanted to use or what? This is mind boggling. I helped some friends slaughter and process some chickens last weekend. I bet the govt could fine/prosecute us for that. Gees.
“Being in the heat in a hot spray suit was miserable.”
Been there, done that, too, many times. Sucks pond water.
its like the inflation index - its been changed to exclude food and energy and housing - everything people buy
but hey - it gets the numbers where they want them
no reason to attack him either
yeah - courts gonna go for that second class of citizen outlined in the constitution
do they really think labor is gonna be cheap when they have legal status?
how long before the unions get them signed up?
this entire thing is a fraud
The Internet sales tax is going to kill a lot of small operators who are low margin, high volume on certain items...
The EPA, DER, DEP, DNR, Dept Int, Dept Ag, all have final and complete “say” in regulating chemicals - insecticides, pesticides, fungicides - because of soil and groundwater contamination and in PA’s case, the Chesapeake Bay. Then, the ACoE (Army Corps of Engineers) gets heavily-involved, since “they own all water rights in the lower 48 states”.
Licenses & handling permits, proper storage, application techniques, record keeping, fees, monthly inspections for disease & insect infestation all fall under their purview and regulatory responsibility.
They can shut you down in 10 secs, or if you’re on ‘good terms’, give you a second chance to get it under control, with weekly re-inspections. They can quarantine entire production fields - corn, beans, fruit, potatoes, wheat etc - at a whim, and fine you right out of business.
The paperwork and record keeping for a medium Family Farm Business, as mine was, required 2-3 people and hundreds of hours/month, plus expensive training classes during winter months to keep all applicators’ licenses current.
Applicators’ Licenses had to be displayed along with all the other 15-16 licenses we had to have to be in business (Sub-S Corp), and numbers displayed on all trucks, ads, bus cards, stationery, websites etc. The rules & regs were beyond onerous, since 2007-08, when the EPA and other fed and state agencies went frigging NUTZ.
From 1990, it was fun to own and be in business; around 2008-09, it wasn’t fun anymore. I shut down and liquidated assets in 2011. Property and buildings will be auctioned this Friday. That $8.5mm operation was my retirement. It’s not worth near that much now.
I’ll be living in a refrigerator’s empty cardboard box, in a downtown York/Lancaster vacant lot, in a few years during my “retirement”.
Whatever you do, keep it to yourself and quiet, if you’re doing it for personal use. If it’s a commercial op, that’s a whole different bowl of cereal, murrie.
Sorry to ramble. Did I answer your question?they own all water rights in the lower 48 states
I am so sorry.... this doesn’t sound like America. This just breaks your heart.
I might make that shot with my Barrett & Leupold-BORS... a slightly different trajectory.
with this regime there is no report card...no guilt or guilty......money ? let’s print some. Too big to fail ? Ax John Candy.....
Unions i.e. mafia is taught, encouraged, and when challenged beats you dead
