I know, and that is the fault of John Boehner. The Democrats must be blackmailing him!
His EO will fail to stop people from getting ammo.
Yup, I plan on being the Mt Everest of inventory.
There, increased the accuracy of the statement...
So tell me what court would allow an executive order to be presented in the prosecution of an individual.
When the most popular gun related items that are being banned from import come to be in short supply - the Mexican Drug cartels can simply add them to the contraband they bring across the border. Cocaine and Marijuana can’t be imported but the cartels do it is massive quantities ... so a new product line is added by the Cartels ... wow Capitalism.
How can a man who could’ve stopped the Boston bombing but allowed it to happen to bolster his DHS ARMY, still be President?

On May 26, 1994, President Clinton announced the renewal of Most Favored Nation trading status for the People’s Republic of China. At the same time, however, in light of “continuing human rights abuses” in China, he announced certain trading sanctions against that country. One of the sanctions was a ban on the importation of munitions from China.....Customs subsequently advised its field agents that the embargo was effective as of May 28, 1994, and that all permits for importing arms from China had been rendered null and void. On June 27, 1994, BATF advised companies holding permits to import munitions from China that the embargo became effective on May 28 and that their permits were revoked as of that date. Congress subsequently enacted legislation that ameliorated the effect of the ban by providing that it would not be enforced with respect to shipments that, as of May 26, 1994, were in a bonded warehouse or foreign trade zone, in port, or in transit to the United States.

During a Rose Garden press briefing with uniformed police officers on hand, President Bill Clinton mentioned two specific weapons, the AK-47s manufactured by Russia, China and other nations, and the Uzi, an Israeli-made weapon. Such weapons, the president said, are not needed for deer hunting or skeet shooting.
Clinton said he was issuing the order based on the finding of a review prepared by the Treasury Department, the parent agency of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
“That is why our administration has concluded that the import of assault weapons that use large-capacity military magazines should be banned,” Clinton said.
The AK-47 and the Uzi, he said, “are military weapons, weapons of war. They were never meant for a day in the country, and they are certainly not meant for a night on the streets. Today, we are working to make sure they stay off our streets.”
As I said, “It sucks, but we have lived through this kind of think before.”
I think it is time to reign in this executive order nonsense.
Constitutional amendment? federal law?
Even judges should be worried since their rulings have no meaning. Eventually why even fund judges since an exective order can override a judicial ruling.
life appointments do not matter if court is closed.
I don't remember any of this and I bet I have a lot of memory-loss company.
We need to be reminded.
On the plus side, this means manufacturing jobs will HUGELY increase in America.
It's a harassment measure.
They may wear different titles, but that's what they are.
I think it was the George Bush I that banned Norinco
Obama has become irrational in his pathological obsession to disarm the American public. How could he be so foolish and short-sighted? Doesn’t he realize that his executive order will severely handicap every police force in the country, many of which are already outgunned by the drug gangs? His executive order will have no effect on the criminal element, because guns & ammo will continue to be illegally imported across the wide-open Mexican border along with the heroin and cocaine. But it will affect not only law-abiding citizens, but America’s police forces as well. This is not the act of a rational leader.
Now I understand why he ordered the Marines to carry unloaded weapons at his last inauguration. A Commander In Chief who fears his own military is a danger to everybody.
