U.S. Marshals are looking for a man charged in the rape of a pre-teen girl, and they are asking the public to help find him.
Arlington County police said that on April 6, 20-year-old Douglas Guillen-Vargas was left in charge of the victim and other children while their parents went to church.
Guillen-Vargas took the 12-year-old into the bathroom and sexually assaulted her, police said. When the parents returned home, the girl told them what had happened.
Guillen-Vargas has not been seen or heard from since, authorities said.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Guillen-Vargas charging him with rape, and are working with marshals deputies to track him down.
"It is very important that we catch Guillen-Vargas for the safety of our communities, especially for the children," said U.S. Marshals Deputy Thomas O'Brien. "We would like Guillen-Vargas to turn himself in and tell his side of the story."
Guillen-Vargas is from El Salvador and came to the United States in September. He's listed as about 5-feet-5 and 150 pounds. He has ties all over the capital region.
Anyone with information regarding Guillen-Vargas' whereabouts is urged to call Deputy O'Brien at 571-289-9174 or the U.S. Marshals Service at 301-489-1717 or 1-800-336-0102. Since 2008, The Washington Examiner's "Most Wanted" feature has led directly to the capture or surrender of 52 murderers, armed robbers, kidnappers, sex offenders and drug dealers.
At least nine fugitives were wanted for murder or had previously been convicted of a homicide.
The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, run by the U.S. Marshals Service, is composed of 30 federal, state and local agencies from Baltimore to Norfolk. The unit has captured more than 33,000 wanted fugitives since its creation in 2004.
Hey Biden! Here’s one of them ‘perverts’ you were talking about.
30-50 million more legalized illegals. What could go wrong?
They’re just raping the young girls that Americans can’t be bothered to rape.
They will cross over the border and do the deed, and yet someone speaking of legitimate rape is nearly run out of the country.
