You mean to subsidize the lifestyles of the lame, lazy, weak, stupid and perverted?

If anything, she’d rather it be given back to the taxpayers, but that was never an option in your mind or the government’s, was it?

"...funeral cost taxpayers £3.6 million ($5.6 million..."

He11, that doesn't even cover one of the obamabillies vacations.

Yeah. That has worked so well, that entire generations have been raised on the dole.

There are many legitimate recipients of welfare and NHS

I don’t care anymore. All the dole and NHS does is make poverty comfortable for the deserving and undeserving alike, and transfer money from people who have earned it to people who have not, while bureaucrats take a healthy cut.
Worse yet, most doleists actually seem to believe they DESERVE the money.
Nope. If it can’t go back to the taxpayers, it was better spent of Dame Thatcher’s funeral.

That’s just not true.

People that are deserving of help, should not be allowed comfort?

Their need does not create an obligation on the part of others. Why should the productive be the slaves of the lame and the lazy?
And no. If you are living on charity, comfort should not be a consideration at all.

I believe the needs of some, do create an obligation on the part of others.

I do not.
Charity is one thing. I am charitable and will help folks. I kept one man in his house at considerable expense until he recovered from the tragedy that had befallen him. No so much as a good deal as my wife and I trying be good Christians.
But they better not think for a second I owe them a darn thing.
Same goes for others. Their needs do not create an obligation for me. And government transfers are not charity. Worse, they seem to go some of the vilest individuals.
So I think you are completely and absurdly wrong.
