SOMEBODY has to be buying all the Walmart ammo. I just can’t figure out who and when.
At the WM here there is a daily line of people, some of whom I know, at the gun counter, from about 0530 on in case there is an 0600 delivery.
Ever hear of ‘Gunbroker?’
.22 lr sells for at least $80 per 525 round box...and often times more. Its an auction site like Ebay.
The guy working the gun counter is calling all his friends, so they can buy low and sell high.
There are thousands of rounds for sale on Gunbroker...just at inflated prices.
We need a national ‘don’t buy ammo’ day.
you have to show up early...around 0700.
For those who need a .22 rifle and ammo, they should consider an air rifle.
I really like the Gamo Whisper .22
Plenty of air rifles and pellets for sale.
Somebody at Walmart calls someone when the shipments come in and they show up with a number of people and buy all the .22 LR, .380, 9mm, 40s&w, .45 ACP, .357 mag, .38 spl, .223, 7.62x 39. Sometimes they resell it on Gunbroker or to smaller shops. If you notice there is hunting calibers in stock 30-06, .270, .308 and such.
Everyone who never bought/kept bulk ammo is now catching up since last December. If you are in that category, look in the mirror for your answer. If you are not, and just don’t want to shoot up ammo you can’t replace (which is not unreasonable), look at your neighbors.
