Rubio is a fraud. He is NOT gullible. He knows exactly what he is doing - destroying our Republic with his support of this evil bill.
People who believe that Rubio is naive or that he can be turned towards Conservatism are the gullible ones.
Rubio will NEVER be a Conservative.
If Rubio is on the ticket in 2016 - NO!!!
I agree. Rubio is devious. He could not possibly so stupid as not to realize the harmful consequences of this bill.
Well, I’ll say this. If you are a person with a career in government as Rubio is, and you do not know or are not aware that Chuck Shumer is a slithering snake in the grass, then you are simply too stupid, ignorant and dangerous for the job.
The same goes for McCain. Both of these people are menaces. They are American villains to the core.
I do not know enough about Flake to be able to speak on him at this time.
But I’ll say I regret voting for Rubio. I should have known better, Florida republicans come from a long, long line of backstabbing.
I’m well aware of Schumer and company. They are not honorable and not to be trusted, but the little club we call Congress won’t face that fact with only a few exceptions. Schumer is a con man and Rubio isn’t his first nor will he be his last mark. Con men are good at what they do and once they pour on the charm, very few people actually can resist.
I wouldn’t be too harsh on yourself for voting Rubio considering the choices you had and the fact he had support from a lot of conservatives, as well as the TEA Party.
Were you even old enough to remember the ‘86 Immigration Reform Act? If you are, or did, . . . . . well I’ll just let you and everyone else fill in the rest.
I say it again. The republican immigration reform bill should be "secure the border". Do not talk to me until it is done, not planned, not half azzed, not in the works, done.
You are a RINO.
You got a two for one there.
Works for Romney and Rubio
Can anyone out there who is not a troll explain to my how we are ever going to win the White House without the Hispanic votes? Just cut the crap for a moment and tell me. Must have working knowledge of demographics and statitstics. It’s like a hen house in here.
Of course I remember the 86 act - which is why I am against what is being proposed now. I have written articles about that and a small step approach like the one the House is considering. All I have said is that I’m not prepared to completely write Rubio off because of this since he said he favors the House approach and we need him on other legislation.
To each his own, but do us a favor and get back with us when you stunningly discover no matter how many times you bang your head against the wall, the results will never change.
1. The game is big government
2. The blue team is the Democrats
3. The red team is the Republicans
4. No matter how hard you try, you will never be any better off by cheering for one side or the other and most importantly, you will never be eligible for the draft.
Maybe you should read what I write before you go spouting off nonsense. You can Google it.
How is the GOP ever going to win the white house when it lies about what it believes in?
Do we actually want the GOP to win the white house?
These are dishonest people who support the government agenda, not any sort of conservative agenda.
Yes, it’s bleak.
Rubio is out in the open now and people should be able to judge him more accurately without the cloak of conservatism he likes to wear to suit the occasion.
Ted Cruz and Rand Paul had better step carefully out of the mine field they followed the cameras into or they'll be keeping Rubio company on the injured reserve bench before being released.
...before I really didn't.
Start cutting off their benefits, slowly, and they will deport themselves.
Get rid of anchor babies and they will deport themselves.
They want to collect taxes from their labor, tax all their transactions at Western Union and any other place that they wire money home.
The government will reap a windfall and things won’t be so profitable for them.
That’s funny, my perception of what he said is exactly opposite of yours.
What I took from it was that a Pathway to Citizenship should NOT be part of the bill.
Oh my...sad that you didn’t see the TACTICAL brilliance of the Grassley-Cruz offering. First, did you notice Ted Cruz is totally opposed to a “path to citizenship”? Second, the stuff he mentioned was in a measure that he and Grassley put forward AS A SUBSTITUTE to the Reid - Schumer bill. It was nothing more or less than a poison pill for the Dems and an option for some weak, wavering Republicans (can you say Kelly Ayotte) so they could vote for a “reform” bill, instead of the Dem - gang of eight version. But it was never going to pass because the Dems were almost all against it. And the fact that Cruz put his name on it was hilarious...talk about a poison pill to the Dems. In the end, nothing passed. Nothing. Zip. Zero. Nada. And that was the plan, my friend...
Read this and then tell me you love the Republicans so fargin much and consider yourself part of that team,
Keep in mind, it does not get to the point of a unanimous consent unless the Republicans let it get to the floor for a voice vote.
