He’s an inch deep because an American populace that is 1/2 inch deep elected him.
And why are they a 1/2” deep? Because, as the Marxist’s planned years ago, they quietly took over the government educational system to dumb down our populace, delete true national history and knowledge of the constitution, portray America as evil in all it did, founded by rich, white, racists.
They have succeeded.
And until we deal with the root cause, all political maneuvering on the part of conservatives is completely in vain............

There is nothing wrong with the US Constitution. We were established as a “self governing” Republic.
Remember, it was written to serve a moral and educated populace. We have neither in sufficient numbers due to all the reasons chronicled on this site every day.
It wouldn’t work in Europe because they are subjects rather than citizens. Always have been.
That’s also why democracy will never work in Africa or Asia.

I don’t know if the EUROS are “subjects rather than citizens”, as you say. My concern is that they haven’t adopted our Constitution as theirs (though undoubtedly adopted some parts of it). Time moves on and political ideas change, and, one hopes, improve. There is no question that whatever we think of our Constitution it reflects the ideas of the 18th century, and not of the later time, right?
But going back to the topic which provoked this discussion, which in turn provoked little more than vulgar insults from the “deep” thinkers here, the worship of the chief executive i.e. ex-POTUS, that I agree is bizarre and unnecessary, to say the least (why not worship the ex-VPOTUS too?), I think the position of POTUS has too much power, too little oversight, actually practically none, and is impossible to replace, unlike the prime ministers in parliamentary systems or CEOs of corporations. That is one reason why corporations function better than government. Imagine if Ron Johnson had been elected the CEO of JCPenney for 4 years. That’s my opinion.
The president does wield too much power. It is not supposed to work that way.
The founders believed a strong Congress, together with an engaged electorate, would be able to thwart a dictatorship.
We don’t have either and the crux of the problem is us.
We can blame our problems on Obama or Bush or Harry Reid or whoever, but still the problem remains.
The Constitution was written to serve the citizens not the politicians.
So, what shall “We the People” do?
I have a problem with the notion that the Constitution is perfect and it’s us, or it’s the politicians. because if the Constitution were perfect then in a better world, it would anticipate its own deterioration, as it were, in the hands of the ruling class, and the populace such as ours, which is so certain of the perfection of the system that it refuses to see its slow destruction. I can dream on, can I, but still some if not perfect protection measure could have been written into the Constitution. It’s just too easy to ignore, to interpret every which way, to violate.
You can see it here (if nowhere else than through the insults to anyone who dares to wonder, speculate, and not even challenge), the belief that we have the best political system in the world that cannot be improved and IF ONLY so-and-so, we all know who, were put in Leavenworth then all would be hunky dory.

There are timeless principles that are true no matter what century it is—truths such as: our world naturally tends to corruption, and men are bent to evil and will seek power over others. The law of decay.
Of course there is nothing “perfect” made by man, but in the history of the world, the United States Constitution is probably the best man-made government charter there has ever been. It does have the checks and balances in place to keep the corruption under control and to keep the federal government very limited in power and scope.
The problem is not with the Constitution, and its principles are in no way outdated, but it was written and will only work if moral men will abide by it. As it stands, it provides the prescription for just about the best worldly government man is capable of having, and this remains true today.
Men have aggressively walked away from the Constitution for more than a hundred years. It is because our leaders have ignored its precepts, and the people have slept and allowed this to happen, that some might now imagine the Constitution is no longer relevant.
It is relevant, but we have come to a point that the leadership, the culture and the soul of our nation are corrupt and rotten to the core.
The Constitution is simply a casualty of the ever-present, corrosive evil in our world.
