Revealed: tragic victims of Syria’s nerve gas war
The Times (UK) ^ | 4/26/13 | Anthony Loyd Aleppo

The chemical attack that killed Yasser Yunis’s family was a small, almost private affair. Had the 27-year-old car mechanic not managed to struggle out of the doorway of his home in Aleppo on to the street in the darkness of night, clutching his infant son to his chest, no one might have ever known what wiped out the family.

They died twitching, hallucinating and choking on white froth that poured from their noses and mouths. Their doctors believe that they were killed by nerve gas.

The Syrian regime prefers to gas its opponents in this small-scale way, testing the elasticity of President Obama’s “red line”, the words Mr Obama used in August to warn Damascus against the use of chemical weapons. In this way the regime avoids large-scale massacre and allows the West enough room to prevaricate over the issue of intervention.

But it seemed likely yesterday that evidence linked to the chemical shell that hit Yasser Yunis’s house on April 13 lay, in part at least, behind Chuck Hagel’s statement in Abu Dhabi. Washington’s Defence Secretary said that US intelligence agencies believed that the Syrian regime had probably used chemical weapons, specifically sarin gas, on a small scale.

Meh,,, so what? Whatever Obama calls it, I cannot see the slightest reason for an American intervention on the side of Wahabbist fundamentalists who persecute Christians as they gain groud, and who have sworn allegiance to Al Qeida.

But im sure we will have jets providing close air support for these anti-Christian jihadis. Then of course, we will need a massive SEAD effort to neutralize Syrian air defenses. And of course, we will need “boots on the ground” to assist with targeting. And we will need rescue forces for Any crews shot down. And of course, we will need a big contingent of SOF forces to secure any Syrian gas weapons. Then we will need Rangers and Marines to secure airports and ports to remove them from the country,,,
And THEN,, we get to start nation building!!

All because Obama called it a “red line”.

Assad got his gas shells from Saddam. Those are being moved around into safe Syrian controlled areas.

The rebels that use them on their own area in these very small scale “red line” incidents, (as in this story) get them from Obama and his Libyan operation in Benghazi.

Obama said Gas Use = US intervention. And presto*, suddenly the rebels are reporting gas attacks like this. LOL, it’s obvious.

EXACTLY! No one is asking where they originated. If we had thought Syria was making WMD’s, they would have been monitored by the UN. Funny the Media isn’t asking from whence the nerve gas came!

We just have to hope that none of it has ended up inside our borders.

Omg,, i just saw the photos. One family, staggers out in the street, looking like they were interrupted brushing their teeth. And THAT’S the proof of a gas attack!
Interesting gas tactics, one family in their house affected and nobody else.

I saw Luke Skywalker blow up the Death Star too, right there in film. This is so fake it’s retarded.

This is another of the classic fake dead body propaganda pics they always use on the Israelis. He’s somewhere tonight, laughing over this fakery.

All because Obama called it a “red line”.

It boggles the mind that both McCain and Romney are even more gung ho about intervention. I have to wonder if their excessively pro-intervention stances cost them votes in the Midwest.

Both parties are horny for another war. They are even willing to bomb -on behalf- of Al Qeida and the Wahabbists now. I’m guessing the Dems are motivated by desire for the most virulent form of America hating Islam to be in control of the middle east, and to see them unite against Israel.
The GOP on the other hand, seems to be systemically incapable of staying out of ANY war, and are owned by the Saudis and their Norquist/Rove/Bush wing.

Neither party has the slightest interest in keeping us out of this. A few more American kids will die, a few more Trillion to spend, and on it goes.

Anything to keep the attention off the economy.

It wouldn’t hurt to give a Tomahawk Chop to a couple of storage areas.

The Saudis have plenty of bodies to fight this war. They sure seem to send fighters around the world on suicide missions. And they can afford to purchase the equipment for soldiers to wear for protection against chemical/biological attack.

Gee, the Looney Left wants another war in the Middle East over WMDs, but this time the Democrats want us to side with Al Qaeda against Assad.

What could go wrong?!

I’m with you. We didn’t lose a damned thing we need to risk our soldiers’ lives to go get. Not a damned thing.

They need to do a little ‘intervening’ here - at our ports, airports, etc. stopping these Muslims from entering this country.
