WASHINGTON Antiterrorism intelligence units in Massachusetts were never notified that FBI agents had examined the activities of Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011, further evidence of gaps in the network of post-9/11 measures that may have contributed to insufficient scrutiny of the suspected Marathon bomber. The Boston Regional Intelligence Center and the Commonwealth Fusion Center in Maynard, which is supposed to serve as clearinghouses for information about potential threats, was unaware that the FBI interviewed Tsarnaev as part of a three-month investigation after Russian agents alerted US officials to his increasing radicalization, officials said. If the truth ever comes out, which I highly doubt, this will be known as another shiny example of just how incompetent the government is. How our immigration policy and our entitlement programs are a complete disaster. How political correctness has ruined our country. Demonstrates how an open door asylum/immigration policy leads to death. Not to mention economic catastrophe. These deadbeats were on the dole. Paid by America to kill Americans. And our â leadersâ want to amnesty 11 million illegals, including gang members, people with DUI arrests and potential terrorists. Day by day, this government is losing the last shreds of legitimacy. As the president frolics among the blood soaked baby killers of Planned Parenthood. No wonder they want to disarm us.
Wasn’t the Dept of Homeland Security created to share information? Another fail.
While I generally agree with your statement, I think the take-away is we ought to be glad for the level of incompetence you cite. Truly competent government, armed with the powerful laws written since 9/11, would be able to easily achieve the police state, if used at any level of effectiveness. This also could be filed under “be glad you don’t get all the government you pay for.”
Another factor act work here is the power of information in a bureaucratic system which causes entities to retain, rather than share, information with others.
True Dat!!!
