Todd Akin: I’d Take Back Comments on ‘Legitimate Rape’

Former Rep. Todd Akin said he regrets the comments he made about “legitimate rape” which derailed his Missouri bid for U.S. Senate last year.

In an interview with KDSK-TV on Thursday, the 65-year-old was asked whether he would take back the controversial comments. “Of course I would,” the former congressman replied. “I’ve relived them too many times. But that is not reality.” …

Doesn’t matter, Kapo Karl Rove and his groin leeches are just waiting for the next conservative slip up.

BTW Why no outrage over Kapo Karl’s fried chicken joke to Donna Brazile? Its because they’re on the same side.

All he had to do was change to a democrat, and all would be forgiven. Especially if he became pro-abortion.

If all the so-called conservatives, including many on FR, hadn’t gathered around and started kicking him when he was down, tripped up by the lying liberal media, this never would have happened.

Which is worse, a guy who votes conservatively almost all the time and is morally straight and honest, but who makes a single verbal gaffe, or the other guy who promises to kill as many babies as possible if you elect him?

Akin was destroyed by Rove and the weak-kneed conservatives who listened to him whining, not just by the liberal media.

The GOP made it clear it's not a pro-life party in anything but talk (and it's ashamed even of that).

Maybe all the Hispanic voters they're gonna get after amnesty goes through will change that.

The democrats are still squealing for attention about Michigan RNC Committeeman, Dave Agema’s comments on gays. The most disgusting thing is the fact that it was “moderate” republicans who ran to the media with it.

Fortunately Agema isn’t backing down and the issue is dead.

The people squealing about conservatives needing to learn to keep their mouths shut need to learn to quit kissing the media’s ass or just become democrats.

“Moderates” are nothing but lying, manipulative, bottom feeding scum. The GOP has been moderated into a coma and they’re pinching the feeding tube as their friends on the left goose step into full on fascism.

“There was a very, very strong grassroots element saying don’t you give in to those party bosses,” Akin told KSDK.

Still Akin hinted that he might consider a repeat run. “Oh no, I don’t rule anything out,” he said in the interview. “I consider it a bright new future and I’m interested to see what the possibilities are.”
***************************************************************
The only “grassroots elements” saying to stay in were those from the Democrat Underground.

The dumb ass Akin might not rule out a repeat run, but he has absolutely ZERO chance of going anywhere in elected office EVER AGAIN. He likely would have had a some chance had he done the wise (and noble) thing and bowed out so someone such as Sarah Steelman (Sarah Palin’s endorsed candidate in the primary) could have come in and defeated Claire McCaskill readily. The only reason Akin won the primary was because of the many Democrats who came in and supported the numb skull.

The only “grassroots element” on the Republican side urging him to stay in were his wife and son (there’s no nobility among either of that pair). I hope the son realizes now that not only has the selfish decision to stay in destroyed any possible political future for his father but any possible future for the self-centered son was also destroyed.

I wish ALL the Akin family would simply go away now and actually work for a living.

"Situational ethics?" Akin saw the situation, and acted like an idiot. I can say this because I'm in Illinois, and don't even know or care who Brown is. I do know that I was subjected to a constant barrage of Dem attack ads in my district that attacked Akin.

So the Dems made him national, so what? If he simply had an answer to the question . . . .

Demonicrats defend “legitimate murder” of the born and unborn, and the media sweeps it under the rug.

How the scumbags do it and their low info lapdogs left and right gobble it up with gusto.

THE ESTABLISHMENT STRIKES BACK: MICHIGAN “RINO’S” MANEUVERING TO REGAIN CONTROL OF STATE PARTY

Demands for the resignation of Michigan’s Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema may be far less spontaneous than initially portrayed. Last week, Agema waded into the gay marriage debate with a controversial Facebook post opposing legalization. Almost immediately thereafter, aspiring political consultant Dennis Lennox has been loudly leading the assault on Dave Agema. In repeated written outbursts, Lennox proclaimed there is “no room for Agema in the GOP”, accused Agema of being a “neo-Know Nothing adherent”, and called Agema an “ignorant bigot.”

Oddly enough, in his role as “columnist” Lennox failed to mention an important personal vested interest in his demands for an Agema resignation. Lennox failed to mention in his boisterous article that he served as one of Saul Anuzis’ most vocal supporters in Anuzis’ campaign for reelection as Republican National Committeeman. In the end, Dave Agema trounced Anuzis 69% to 31%, as many grassroots conservatives opposed Anuzis as insufficiently conservative.

I however am off to sleep after arguing with the Lib wing of FR for too long today already.

Todd Akin did more damage to the pro life movement then anyone I can think of. He set a grenade off in his own barraks. Then instead of being a patriot and stepping aside he and his grasping family hung in there to the ugly end. Now the scumbag say he might run again. ....no class.

Todd Akin does not fit in to the current Republican Party. A true Republican would have backed down, apologized, caved in, quit, done whatever the liberals, Karl Rove, and the Republican establishement demanded of him. He should have done what John Boehner would have done. He should have behaved like a sniveling coward, and then Republicans would have admired him. Yes Akin is butt stupid. The real intelligent people are the Missouri voters who flocked to the polls and voted for the wise and honest liberal Claire McCaskill instead. She is much better for America than an idiot like Todd Akin. No I am sorry, it is the American voter that is butt stupid, not Todd Akin. Sorry but not every area can produce a Ted Cruz. In some places the best we can do is a Todd Akin vs. a Claire McCaskill. And if our choice in those cases is going to be Claire McCaskill because the Republican is not close enough to perfection to suit us, then we get exactly what we deserve.

Missouri could have had Sarah Palin’s endorsed candidate Sarah Steelman in the Senate today instead of Claire McCaskill. But the blindly ambitious and blind to reality Akin family put an end to that.

And, in my opinion, Steelman would have been “closer to perfection” than Akin.

But, unfortunately we’re arguing over spilled milk. I hope that at least we’ll learn for the future.

The GOP accepts silly word games played with first principles and then wonders why they lose.

With Jeb Bush on tap for 2016, all the oh-so-sophisticates in the GOP can be assured, their candidate will have cloyingly empty answers to every question.

But at least no one will laugh at them!
