During last week’s events in Boston, residents were told to “shelter in place,” which raises the question, would you know what to do if a similar order was issued in Philadelphia?
In the Emergency Management section of the City of Philadelphia’s website, there are now some guidelines for residents to follow.
First and foremost, the city says residents should be prepared to shelter in place for at least three days, which means stocking supplies like medications, food, batteries, drinking water, flashlights and more inside of an emergency kit.

What happened in Boston was clearly called a voluntary advisory and not an order, and there were no reports of police harassment from residents who were traveling from one place to another in the Boston area.
True ! I work in downtown Boston everyday. No one was making you stay off the streets, No one was stopping vehicle traffic. I was walking around and stopped to talk to many Police officers about what was going on, while wearing a black backpack. The city was empty because most people used it as an excuse not to go to work that day.
I’m totally for “sheltering in place” - until gunpoint, that is. :(

The Ruskies never intended for the missiles to be released, just threaten to release them causing mass panic and causing cities within the missile's range to be evacuated.
The only way to control the panicked masses would have been to declare martial law which would have spelled the end of the US as we know it. The USSR would win and bring down the US without firing a shot.
Several years ago there was talk of “American Hiroshima” chem/bio/nuke dirty bomb attacks on multiple cites.
It's no different today than it was in the 60’s, only way to control the panicked masses, martial law.

I don't think it would bother her. She's dead and has been so for many years.
I just asked my doctor if he would write me a script for a 60 or 90 day supply in case of emergency in addition to my regular script, and he said no problem. I filled it at Walmart, and paid cash.
Took the other script to my regular pharmacy. No problem. The insurance company dictates that script shall not be filled until you are down to your last 3 pills from the last fill date.
Sometimes, I put one pill back in a spare bottle each month too.
I remember now that it was the insurance company restricting the amount.
