BAGHDAD (AP) Iraqi authorities announced Sunday that they had revoked the operating licenses of pan-Arab broadcaster Al-Jazeera and nine other satellite TV channels, alleging that they are promoting a sectarian agenda as the country grapples with a wave of violence.
The move, effective immediately, comes as Baghdad tries to quell rising unrest in the country following clashes at a protest camp last week.

What would we say if they tried to shut-down Fox, The Blaze, Limbuagh, Levin, Cunningham....?
Would it be any worse if it were Cnn, MSNBC, etc.?
Like shouting fire in a crowded theater are there boundries to freedom of the press?
Not a good sign for the multi-ethnic republic.
Iraq will back Syria’s Assad in the coming intensification of the Syrian Civil War and won’t want Al Jazeera covering the convoys of munitions that will likely soon flow unimpeded across Iraq into Syria from Iran.

Proof that no matter how noble the intentions, giving certain races/cultures a democracy makes as much sense as putting lipstick on a pig.
Sort of like giving a 5 year old the keys to a 757.
That culture stopped advancing in the 7th century and unfortunately they have access to 21st century technology. They are completely incapable of participating in modern civilization.
Guess this means is that Harry Reid was right.
Even a broken watch is right twice a day.
