To my knowledge, he only owns one plant in Calhoun and one in Dalton. I’m not sure that either of those sites has enough developable land left for the sort of plant that would employ 2,000 people.
I read the article after I posted that. Apparently Mr Shaw no longer with Shaw Industries. This is a venture he started after he retired. It would mean construction of a new facility. Good news for North GA
