NEWTOWN, CT (WFSB) - The bizarre discovery of 300 gallons of human urine were found in an abandoned home in Newtown over the weekend.

Environmental officials removed the hundreds of one-gallon jugs from the residence on Berksire Road. Now, they are trying to figure out why they were being stored in the home.

After the home was condemned on Friday, the state hired a contractor who had to pour the urine into large containers so it could be transported to a wastewater treatment plant.

Why not just flush it? It would have ended at the wastewater facility plant anyway...

I bet those environmentalists would go ape-bat crazy if they realized what’s all over the pavement in truck stop parking lots.

It sounds like Monty Python's insurance sketch.

Martin: Good morning. I've been in touch with you about the, er, life insurance...
Feldman: Ah yes, did you bring the um ... the specimen of your um ... and so on, and so on?
Martin: Yes I did. It's in the car. There's rather a lot.
Feldman: Good, good.
Martin: Do you really need twelve gallons?
Feldman: No, no, not really.
Martin: Do you test it?
Feldman: No.
Martin: Well, why do you want it?
Feldman: Well, we do it to make sure that you're serious about wanting insurance, I mean, if you're not, you won't spend a couple of months filling up that enormous churn with mmm, so on and so on...
Martin: Shall I bring it in?
Feldman: Good Lord no. Throw it away.
Martin: Throw it away? I was months filling that thing up.

METH Perhaps? I’m not joking. Some user/cookers collect the urine of users to use in next batch processing. At least one home in my county was busted and they were storing Urine from users for METH cooking.

One can remove the potassium nitrate from the urine which is one third of the components to make gunpowder. It was done in the South during the great unpleasantness.

"Recycling p*ss?"

Here's a little trivia: In the Medieval period, stale urine was used to clean newly woven wool. New spun wool still had the animal's grease on it, and in order to get rid of it, they needed to soak it in an akaline solution. Urine was the cheapest. The process also helped the fabric to shrink and make the weave tighter. The fabric would be put in tubs, the urine added, and then they would stomp on it, making sure the piece of fabric was evenly treated. It would take 7-8 hours of tromping up and down to produce a finished piece of thick cloth.

There are instructions floating around the net (sites you only want to visit if you are using TOR) where you can find instructions to make explosives using Nitric Acid and Urine. Old CIA recipe.

I have no idea how much it would take or how much you have to let it evaporate down.

During the 2008 RNC, the leftards collected jars of urine to be thrown at police. Add to that incendiary devices to be set off remotely (Can you say IED? I know you can!).
And those leftards are considered “heroes” by Minneapolis mayor RT Rybak (another anti-gunner).

Well we tried. Leaf antenna got us 10 channels, Hulu Plus.

We found out we were missing too much. Madmen, GoldRush, Pawn Stars, Fast and Loud (car flip), ESPN, Vikings, Home and Garden etc.

Sure, much of it can be downloaded but that only works sometimes and there is little depth.

If we did not downsize to a maintenance free lifestyle, it may be a different story.

One of the ways prisoners get their high is to mix urine and feces in a closed container and let it ferment. The gas given off supposedly makes one high. ((shudder))

Because the contract to dispose of the “hazardous material” likely went to the mayor’s brother for $100/gal to be paid for by the town’s taxpayers.

No you’re not dumb. They were likely trying to make urea which is a good stand in for ammonium nitrate in explosives. One mix is urea and nitromethane which I believe the 1993 WTC bombers used.

Urine mixed with composted pig feces sours to Very nitrogen rich ammonia. Mixed with wood ash and allowed to stand a few days it can then be boiled down to a serviceable nitrate. This can be mixed with sulphur and charcoal to make gunpowder.

I don’t think that was the plan here.

wonder what % of uric acid is in urine

In a healthy person, virtually none. Mammals generally have urea, not uric acid. Bats are the exception.

Birds have uric acid and virtually no urea.

Uric acid is not water soluble, so it’s ideal for flying critters. They don’t need the weight of water required to dilute urea.
