Think about it, this is totally insane even to discuss unless the surviving bomber really does possess extensive and valuable information about jihad terror networks.

The bomber didn’t blow up anything in Texas ... so he has a 100% chance of avoiding the death penalty. The only sentencing question is whether he’ll die of old age on death row, or die of old age not-on-death-row.

Good that I’m not President. My good friend Vlad Putin would be raizing villages until I got the info I wanted.

I would in exchange be more flexable and not interfere with his adventures in the Stans.

Well Obama did say of the Gitmo terrorists..uhh..’individuals’ that he did not want any to die in his presser today. Probably does not want white hat bomber to die either...only innocent babies,it would seem, satisfy his bloodlust.

We have been told that this was a local home grown jihad plot.

There could be no possible (rational) reason even to consider sparing the scumbag’s life unless that were the only way to get valuable counter terrorism info.

BUT, if he actually does possess such info then it proves the administration LIES that,

(1). The plot was just the two brothers and their Internet bomb recipe,

(2) it made any sense at all to stop the brief FBI questioning and “Mirandize” the bastard.

The admin. Proves its dishonesty (yet again) by pursuing this effort to put aside the death penalty in this case.

Why the two exclamation points?!! We knew this. It’s common sense. He has no incentive to provide any information if he knows he’s going to be sentenced to death anyway. Of course they’re dangling the possibility of life in front of his nose.

Worst case scenario, he’ll end up in the Supermax in Colorado, with no human contact permitted, like Jeff Fort.

Boston terrorists’ family received $100,000 in government entitlements

Is anyone surprised by what this government does?

It is not “common sense” even to consider sparing the death penalty unless he really does possess terror info that can save lives, and that can be obtained in no other way.

BUT, this contradicts the “official” story from the admin. and trumpeted by the MSM, that the brothers were “self-radicalized” and not part of any larger cell or network.

So, yes, many more than two !! are needed. This reported negotiation over the death penalty gives the lie to what the public has been told about the case!!!!!!

(only other explanation is that soft headed libs want to spare his life even though he cannot provide any important info for intel agencies)

I’ve been thinking about this for a while. The reality is the radical Obama/Holder regime is not going to execute any prisoners, even this one. Given a chance those people would repeal the death penalty, which they actually tried to do in Colorado. We should extract all the intel we can and find out about any accomplices. At least we would get something out of the deal.

That’s a tight “red line” to walk. Most of those here are too busy sneering at us for not implicitly trusting Big Media’s headlines, and then threatening us for noticing their own conduct.

He needs to go somewhere and be in the general population so that the other prisoners get to spend time with him. Pass him around as barter for cigarettes and to pay off prison debts.

This will be tough on Hollywood, because they’ve already been casting for who will play the young, innocent “lone wolves” brothers.

Hussein? They’ll probably use the devil actor from the Bible and then tell us it’s preposterous not to be able to expect the actor to play both evil and “Good”. After all, George Burns did it....

The difference being, McVeigh DID know things, and some of them would have been very embarrassing to the clintoon administration (and actually to the Bush I administration as well.)

“No one thought the Clinton regime would execute McVeigh either.”

Not true at all, in fact they couldn't get him dead fast enough. Clintoon and his minions perfectly characterized McVeigh as the prototypical white, Christian, gun owner. And they wanted him dead before the truth came to light.

Which may be a punishment worse than death. Especially for a 19 year old - that's an awfully long time to be in Supermax.

Sure, but your statement points to the utter irrationality of how govt and media have been conducting this case:

(1) do NOT assert and act upon what could not possibly be known so quickly, the claim that there was no larger cell or plot or network than the two brothers,

and in particular,

(2) do not Mirandize the perp and stop him from talking early on, when (reportedly) the FBI was having useful questioning with him.

A lot of people, even those who should know better here at FR, conflated the issue of “Miranda rights” regarding protections against self-incrimination in civilian courts with the quite separate pursuit of counter-terrorism info.

He should be treated as an enemy combatant, but even if we are forced by the dictatorship of lawyers to allow him into a civilian criminal context, the “public safety” exception should have been used to the max. and not thrown away so early.

People confuse the protection against self-incrimination (Miranda) with the quite separate issue of gathering info for counter-terrorism operations against OTHER potential perps (not this one who has to be Mirandized at some point if he is to be prosecuted in civilian courts).

It may be bad, but it’s remarkably expensive. Once he’s been convicted fair and square, just wring him dry and execute him.

You know they won’t do that, though. A prisoner like that is never going to be allowed in the general prison population. Terrorists are always placed in the Supermax facilities and no allowed out to mingle. He’ll be isolated.

I’m sure the “no human contact” punishment is far more cruel than a quick death. One would go insane, surely.

I must be in the minority, because I think that a life behind bars for 50-70 years would be pure torture. So, instead of a painless exit, this islamotrash will spend his entire life locked up. The only downside is it costs money to house him, but that could be offset by using minimal and uncomfortable accommodations.

While in office, Clinton actually tried to give the image of a moderate, DLC, type Democrat so’s he could be a two-termer. Remember, he even signed welfare reform? Obama is having none of that. He is governing like a far lefty, dared the voters to re-elect him, and by golly they did. He won’t execute a Muslim.

I’m with you on making him suffer for his evil actions. Painless death is way too easy an exit. I know it’s wrong to think this, but I would add daily physical torture to his life of prison. Also, the leftists despise Supermax prison...they consider it inhumane, so it must be a good choice for these vermin.
